I had been coveting the Urban Decay Naked Palettes for a really long time now and truth be told, I was kinda saving money to buy all three together at the same time. Only a couple days ago, when I was searching for dupes of the Naked palettes, I came across the review of Makeup Revolution London’s Redemption Iconic Palettes. Without wasting any time, I ordered two of these, one of which I’m reviewing today, i.e. Makeup Revolution Redemption Iconic 1 palette. Read on to find out how it fared for me.
Product description: totally collectible and a pure sellout.
GBP 4. It’s available in India online, where I bought it from at INR 1200 (currently, it’s at a discount of 50%, so hurry up ladies and order it if you like the review )
My take on Makeup Revolution Redemption Iconic 1 Eye Shadow Palette:
Packaging: for an eyeshadow palette that retails for about GBP 4, this one comes in a rather decent packaging. It’s made of nice quality plastic and I know it’s not easily breakable, because I’ve dropped it on the floor a couple times and the glass doesn’t have a scratch on it. the black gives the packaging a more classy edge and it just looks really pretty. It’s also sturdy and very travel friendly if you don’t mind carrying the whole palette with you on vacations etc.
Shades: This Iconic 1 palette is an exact dupe of Urban Decay’s Naked 1 palette. The shades are super similar in the both the palettes and even the order of the shades in which they are placed in both the palettes is the same. The shades in the Iconic 1 palette are not really named like the shades in Naked Palette are. So for ease, I marked the shades as 1, 2, 3… like in the pictures. The shades in this palette are described below:
Shade 1- it’s a highlighter shade with a nice pearl finish. The pigmentation is great and I use it for highlighting the brow bone.
Shade 2- it’s also a highlighter shade only lighter than the 1st shade. The pigmentation is average.
Shade 3- it’s a matte light brown shade with again, average pigmentation. I use it mainly as a base on the lids.
Shade 4- it’s a shimmery silvery brown shade. Great for a transition color.
Shade 5- it’s a proper matte brown shade and I use it in the crease.
Shade 6- this is my favorite color in the palette. It’s a shimmery golden that just screams glam.
Shade 7- it’s a shimmery brown color. Works great for an ombre look when used with shade 5.
Shade8- it’s a pearl finish grey color. Nice for a soft smokey eye look.
Shade9- it’s a shimmery pink color. Pigmentation is average.
Shade 10- it’s a grayish brown shade with a pearl finish.
Shade 11- it’s a beautiful dark grey shimmery shade and I love it for a smokey eye look.
Shade 12- it’s a denim blue shade with shimmery finish. Again, it looks absolutely gorgeous on the eyes.
Texture: I like the texture of these eyeshadows. The shades with matte and pearl finish are smooth as a dream though two of the glittery shades feel a little gritty, but I’m not complaining. The eyeshadows last on me for 6+ hours easily and with a primer, I’m hoping it’ll last even longer. The color payoff is quite good for a palette so affordably priced. I think I’m gonna pass on the Urban Decay’s Naked palettes now that I’ve found these “Iconic” beauties.

• The light glittery shades have a gritty texture.

Yes I’ll repurchase it and yes, I recommend it.
