The Look:

Makeup Tutorial - Aishwarya Rai Cannes 2016 Inspired Makeup Look

Step 1:

Apply an eyeshadow primer all over your eyelids. I’ve used MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot.
step 1

Step 2:

Start by applying a light gold eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes and take it to the centre of the eyes. Take a deep brown or bronze eyeshadow and put it on the outer corners of the eyes. Blend well. Make sure the eyeshadows blend well into each other and there are no harsh lines visible. I’ve used Morphe 35W Eyeshadow Palette.
step 2

Step 3:

Take a matte skin colour eyeshadow and blend along the crease of your eyelids. Now take a light shimmer eyeshadow and apply just under the eyebrows. This will highlight the eyebrow area. I’ve used the same Morphe 35W Eyeshadow Palette.
step 3

step 4

Step 4:

Use a scotch tape and put it as shown in the pic. This helps you put a perfect winged liner. Take a black eyeliner and draw a winged liner. If you can’t make it winged then put it like you normally would. I’ve used Kat Von D Trooper Ink Liner.
step 5

step 6

Step 5: (My Twist)

Apply a golden glitter liner on top of the black liner for that sparkle on your eyes. This step makes the whole look different and interesting. I’ve used NYX Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Gold.
step 7

Step 6:

Put a black kajal along the lower water line of your eyes. Fill in properly. I’ve used the Christian Dior Black Kohl. Now, apply 2–3 coats of mascara on your upper and lower lashes. I have used the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (yes, that’s the name ;)).
step 8

Step 7:

Put a face primer of your choice; I used Skindinavia Oil Control Primer Spray. Then take your foundation and put small dots all over your face and neck. Blend well with a Beauty Blender or a blending brush. I’ve used Sephora 10hr Foundation in #14.
step 9

Step 8:

Use a contouring powder to contour the hollows of your cheekbones and under the jawline. Blend well. I’ve used NYX Wonder Stick Highlight and Contour Stick.
step 10

Step 9:

Apply a compact powder all over your face and neck with a brush to lock the foundation in properly. I used MAC Studio Fix Compact in NC30.
step 11

Step 10:

Apply a peach coloured blusher on the apples of your cheeks and blend it outwards. Make sure there are no harsh lines visible. I used The Body Shop Cheek Colour in #12.
step 12

Step 11:

Apply a highlighter just above where you applied the blusher, on the top part of the apples of your cheeks, and on the bridge of your nose for that diva-like glow. I used MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralise Skinfinish.
step 13

Step 12:

Use a deep red/marsala coloured lip pencil to outline your lips. Make sure your lips are perfectly lined since you will be using a dark coloured lipstick and any crooked lines will be easily visible. I used Huda Beauty Lip Contour in the shade Cheerleader. Fill in with a Marsala/Oxblood coloured lipstick. I used Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick in Wicked.

Voila!! You are ready to wow the crowd and give Aishwariya Rai a tough competition! Hope you enjoyed doing this look. 🙂
