This look is inspired by Malaika Arora Khan’s look at Filmfare Awards. It might not be the same but that was what I was trying to achieve.
Start by priming your eye lids. I am using MAC painterly Paint Pot. Apply some loose powder for smooth blending of eyeshadows.
With a black kajal trace a thick line on your upper lash line.
Smudge the kajal with a flat or blending brush.
Now take a shimmery brown eyeshadow
And apply it all over the lid. Even on top of the smudged kajal.
Take the brown eyeshadow above the crease and keep blending.
Take brown eyeshadow all the way in to the inner part of your eye lid.
On a flat brush pick up a pale shimmery gold eyeshadow.
And apply it just under the arch of your brow ,sweeping it outward.
Blend the gold eyeshadow with the brown eyeshadow using a fluffy brush.
Apply kajal on your waterline
On a pencil brush pick up matte chocolate brown eyeshadow
Sweep the matte brown eyeshadow on your lower lash line. Leave the inner corner of your eye.
Place the same matte brown eyeshadow ion your crease. This will give more definition to your eyes.
Using the same pencil brush pick up some pale gold eyeshadow.
Place it on the inner corner of your eye. You may also apply the same eyeshadow just on inner corner of your eye lid. This step is optional because I didn’t see the highlighted inner corners in Malaika Arora’s look.
Curl lashes and apply mascara
You are done. :)) And that’s your final look.
I highlighted my cheeks using the same highlighting technique I showed in my highlighting tutorial
Products used : Matte brown eyeshadow from Coastal Scents 88 Palette, Inglot eyeshadow AMC Shine 26 (pale gold), DS 483 shimmery brown, MAC Painterly Paint Pot, MAC Cruella Blush, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Palette Bronze, Lotus Pure Color Lipstick pink Blush, lakme Sheer Satin gloss #11, Lakme Satin kajal, The Body Shop Loose Powder, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Mascara (Waterproof)

Eco tools brushes are fantastic. I have barely seen any bad reviews about it. The only thing I feel is that they dont have various useful brushes. I dont think pencil brush and blending brushes are apart of the kit. For me those are very important brushes. Why dont you pick up sigma eye makeup brush kit. Their brushes are really good.

For toning it down just apply the matte eyeshadow right above the kajal and smudge it a little. Apply compact powder on the rest of the lid and on brow bone. I myself do the toned down version a lot. Thank you. :))
I used the same lakme kajal but it just would not smudge with a brush!!!It just stayed put! How did u manage to do it……I don’t prime my lids….so that could be the reason?
Monika you would have to smudge it within seconds of applying it or else it would dry and it would be hard to smudge it. And yeah priming would have helped. May be dust some compact powder on lid and then try.. What brush did you use? the one i have used it quite sturdy so it put the right amount of pressure on lid while smudging.
I use an unbranded brush………I’ll try thsi again..I just love this look of yours!!!

Oh my god I thought I was one of the super minority junta who dont like MAC Carbon eyeshadow. Coastal scents black eyeshadow is much much better then MAC Carbon. Actually both palettes are unique. I like to use matte eye shadows more so I picked this one up. but if you like shimmery eye shadows more, you can pick a shimmer one. And I promise I’ll do CS palette review tomorrow. I promised you long back but tomorrow I’ll do it pakka. 🙂

Appu, You can use the tube for 6 month after opening but from my experience you would have to pick up a new one after 4-5 month of usage. I also swipe my mascara brush time to time on a tissue . i read it somewhere that it keeps the mascara clean to a great extent. Cant say if that has helped but my mascaras stay in pretty good condition for 4-5 months.
