As the dry winter sets in, my lips and skin crave for moisture. There have been three snow storms where I live and humidity in the air is lower than ever. To quench the thirst of my lips, I have tried several lip balms. I probably own about 10. Each one comes with a fair share of pros and cons. After searching long and hard, I finally found an amazing product which is well on it’s way to making to the top of my list. Presenting – MALIN + GOETZ mojito lip balm!
Product Description:
Back by popular demand! Our Mojito Lip Balm is as soothing to the lips as it is to the senses. Flavored with (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito, our lip balm is scientifically blended to restore and replenish. I randomly discovered this brand when I was on one of my googling sprees. I ordered this online, it’s also available online and on their official website too. They have a bunch of stores in the US, but they ship worldwide. The lip balm comes in a white plastic tube with blue and green lettering, with a slanted top for easy application. This hygienic packaging also gets a thumbs up from me. You can just pop it in your bag and always find it because it’s bright white. The formula is a traditional lip balm-like jelly formula, and glides on so smoothly and works deep within to heal chapped lips.
I use this at night usually and always wake up with baby soft lips. I would suggest this to be used for a week or two to see results. I don’t seem to detect any strong flavour or fragrance, but there’s definitely a hint of citrus scent and the mildest tingle on my lips as I apply this, just like my lips licked the side of a refreshing mojito glass 😛 Definitely makes me think of warm summer days. The fragrance is named after the two founders – Malin and Goetz. Malin was said to have lots of skin problems and he got together with his friend Goetz and developed a superior skin care range. I think that’s a nice story.
Now coming to the staying power, this has a decent staying power of 3-4 hours after which it fades. Like every lip balm, you’ll need to apply it when you’re feeling dry, so it’s more of a personal choice for different people. I apply it as a more of a night time type treatment, so I am fine with it.
The packaging as well as the scent are both neutral and I think it would appeal to both male and female audiences. So, if you know a guy looking for a non-girly but effective lip balm, I do recommend this. I just don’t see guys dipping their grubby fingers in a pink coloured tub of lip balm. 😛
When I ordered this online, I also received free samples of their skin products, which I cannot review because of lack of sufficient product to test, but this lip balm is a surefire winner!
