Manicure of the week – & Win p2 crackling Top Coat & essence Denim Wanted eyeshadow duo (mini giveaway)

Crackling Nail Art
Crackling Nail Art

Hello everybody 🙂
I already showed you the black p2 crackling top coat last week and now it´s the silver one´s turn.
The application is very easy, just apply the crankling top coat on any nail polish you want. The polish looks shimmery in the bottle but the finish of the p2 crankling toppys is fast down drying matte, if you want a shiny look you have to apply a clear shiny top coat at the end.

Products used:

  • NUBAR base coat
  • MAC Concubine
  • p2 crankling topcoat in silver
  • NUBAR seal & shine topcoat

As the p2 brand actually is not available in India I decided to do a little giveaway and shopped a tiny set one of you can win (I had to keep it tiny because of the very high shipping costs for letters/parcel over 100 gramms weight). I recently called the Indian Consulate in Frankfurt for fees information, as they say there will be no problem about fees etc. for you 🙂

So here is the little set you can win:

    1. I really have to try this Lakme Kajal – Ratis review was addicting me to the long-last-texture while reading it. Seven hours…. OMG :silly:

    2. Seven hours is really amazing – I have to try it 😀
Actually I am very happy with MAC Khol Feline… but Feline does not manage seven hours :silly:

      1. OKay. 😀 😀 😀

I am a big fan of Colorbar Cosmetics. Starting from their blush, nail paints, lipsticks and now eye shadows. That’s my favourite brand as far as Indian cosmetics are concerned. I’ll tell you everything okay. 😛

Fav eyeshadows : Both Warm and Cool palettes

Fav Lipsticks : Colorbar Matte Lipsticks

Fav blush ” Colorbar Cinnabar and Peachy Rose

        Fav Nail Paints : All.

Fav Pencils : Colorbar I Glide Pencils

I used to love their mascara as well but now I have changed .

I don’t like their bases because they break me out.

I love their little pouches they give for free. :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

Other than This I am totally loving Lakme Satin Kajal now. 😀 😀

Thanks for doing this post, Tatjana. :-* :-*

          1. he he. They are very poor with their shipping. If they ship their products in India properly that would be a huge thing. 😛

You have to come to India soon. :))

  4. wow! i have never won any giveaways so i am hoping for the best  keeping my fingers crossed.
Just yesterday i went shopping for NAIL PAINTS and bought this gorgeous shade from LOTUS. Lotus is an Indian brand of cosmetics mostly known for their kohl, lip balms, lipsticks and now nail paints. I tried their nail paints for the first time yesterday and I am totally in love with it! The shade i am wearing right now is “920-Rose Petal” from Lotus Color Dew Nail Enamel.
The consistency of the paint is a little “liquidy” but with two coats it looks yummy!
The nail paint is Quick dry… dries really fast on your nails (thank god) and it looks totally shiny after drying… Even as I am typing right now I am getting distracted by the glossiness of the nail polish 🙂 lolz!
Wish i could post some pics here, but for now i am posting only links:
    http://www.lotusherbals.com/shop/enlarge.php?print_arr1=clip_image002.jpg

And the best part about them is they are purely herbal and have been inspired from AYURVEDA :beauty: 😀

  5. the 1 dat i knw u don get here is the mac nail polishes n urban decay primer potion i love it n im craving for it…. but u don get primers at all in sri lanka how disgusting can dat be… n yeah i m trying 2 find a tinted moisturizer u don get that aswel in here 😥

    1. So what do you use as primer?
To be honest I am not impressed of the UDPP – high price and finishes too dry for me old lady.
Means, I really have a desert feeling on the lids after using it :schock: Same with the hyped TFSI (Too Faces Shadow Insurance), while the TFSI is not that dry as UDPP.

Or if you cannot mention a primer, tell me about something amazing from Sri Lanka :-))

  6. i must mention my most fav skincare product – lotus herbals berry scrub. it’s awwwwwsome.      it has a beautiful orange peel-strawberry smell. i use it every night. it’s a mild exfoliator and helps prevent acne, blackheads, whiteheads. it has done wonder for my skin and given me a nice glow for the whole day. it’s my HG scrub. love it, love it, love it. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

  7. my another HG product is Biotique cucumber toner. i hav previously used lotus herbals basiltone, but it made my skin too oily. 🙁 then i bght biotique one on IMBB suggestion and yeppy!!!! i am sooo happy. 😀 😀

  8. Waaaah :chic: :chic: :chic: …he he he..Though I don’t have much hopes on winning the giveaways 😛 😛 , I’d like to suggest you the Ayur Almond cream! It is supposed to have anti-aging properties. I donno if it really has or not, but I really lou it :inlove: :inlove: . And, you can hate me for saying this :smug: :smug: , but I like it more than “OLAY Total Effects” :shutmouth: :shutmouth: . I’ve used both and I am so sorry to say or may be my skin is somewhat “desi” and :silly: :silly: lol… :rotfl: …My olay tub is seriously gonna go to my mom! Ayur Almond cream on the other hand is something that really CAN bring the glow to my otherwise dull and pale face :wilt: :wilt: ! I put it every night and morning I have this :beauty: :beauty: skin – all smooth and nice!! 😀 😀 ..

The other Indian product I’d love to use and would definitely recommend is “Medimix Soap” – A perfect cure to all skin diseases!! I mean, I don’t use it much, just coz it is all ayurvedic and boring and I love to experiment with fragrances 😛 😛 …but my boyfriend is addicted to Medimix 😯 😯 , like seriously addicted and refuses to use any other Soap, gel etc.etc. grrrrr :teeth: he even abandoned my gift “Some Shower gel I bought from Dubai transit” for Medimix!! :weep: :weep: :-/ :-/ …So, you can imagine, how big fan he is of this Medimix soap!

    1. Last week I showed you the black crackling polish but the black one only looks good with light nail paint beneath. And yes…. pleassseee do the nail art – would love to see that :-))

  9. maybelline eyestudio eye pencil is my fav too. i hav the dark green & purple. it’s longstay and pigmented enough. other fav maybelline products are-

expert wear blush in apricot flush.
eyestudio eye quad in sapphire siren( this one is awwsome :-* :-* :-* ), legendary lilac.
    colossal volume mascara.

  10. last but not the least-
    lakme eye quad in peacock.
olay natural white light( my HG moisturizer cum anti-blemish cream).
j&j milk body lotion.( he he, very effective)

  11. oh, i forgot to mention- the entire Dove range, esp the haircare range. iv found them far better then l’oreal.( i hav used their force vector shampoo, it’s yaaak.)

  12. lol.. oh and my other fav would be the himalaya toner.. all pure and all. 😀 i think there is a review on IMBB:D:D
    and
    bata ballerinas!:P:P

      1. heheh yeahh shoes! after me:D Rati and Rads bought them to!!:P these are porous rubber ballerinas!:P our Indian version of Crocs!:P hehehe :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

        1. No no Bata isn’t Indian – even though everyone thinks they are (im guessing coz theyve been around for donkey’s years and the price isnt like sky high ! They actually established themselves in India in 1931 !!!!!! They are currently based in Switzerland but orignally from the now Czech Republic – go figure 😛

  13. hi Tatjana,

I love LOTUS herbal products one such product is their Sunscreen with SPF 50.

It is not a cream but a lotion that can be sprayed. Its not very greasy and sinks into the skin and also does not leave the face pale white..i love that product…

    you can try too…

    1. If i could get my hands on it … 😀
But this giveaway is meant to show me all the nice stuff I don´t know..
And another Lotus Herbals suggestion… seems the brand is very attractive to lots or beauties in India. :-))

  14. hey u know guys, durga pujo is coming and here in west bengal it is the biggest festival. it goes for 4days. pandals, lighting, lots of people wearing colorful dresses- it’s amazing. i hav got 10 dresses this pujo and i am very happy. i would be busy pandal hopping from 13 to 16th oct with my bf. he he. and happy pujo to everybody. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

  15. Heyyy so sweet of you to hold a giveaway. i came online after 2 days (after the weekend) and guess which is the first post i see !! :D:D:D lol

Okay one product i like in the indian market is the ayur herbal face pack, it comes in different flavours, like mint, sandal, anti sun pack, cucumber, neem, tulsi etc etc. You are supposed to use it after washing your face. Just add rose water or normal water, mix it well, apply it all over your face and neck, let it dry for 15-30 minutes and then wash it off. Voila!!! Your face feel as fresh as a bud !! One of the main reasons it works so well is because it has multani mitti , which is awesome awesome awesome for your face !!!

  16. I love the Shahnaz Hussain black eye liner…..Shahnaz Hussain is the pioneer of herbal beauty products in India & that gives me the confidence of using her products especially on eyes. The liner does ot dry or clumpy in the tube even after months of usage

    1. Sure 🙂

I would only say that beauties living in the EU should be so kind not to enter because it´s no big deal to send them anything they want.

Since you are living in Dubai (as I remember): Just go ahead :-))

      1. yayyy Tatjana you are soo veryy kind :-*

ok my fav Indian products are:-
        Lakme’s Eye Artist Liquid Liner
Lakme’s Bridalsutra lip & cheek tint
        Lakme’s lip gloss in strawberry
        Lakme’s Jewel Liner in Jade
        Chambor’s Glitter Eyeliner in Bronze
        VLCC’s Kajal
        Shehnaz Hussain’s Black eyeliner

  18. One thing that I recently started using is the Lotus Botanical Eye liner and I’m in love with it.
It stays on me the whole day, no flaking, no fading and its waterproof. And its contact-lens safe. The color is not a true black, more like a slightly lighter matte black, but I love it. And it dries super-fast.

  19. One of my favourite products is the Khadi whitening scrub which makes your face just glow but they also have other variants that are interesting.
Great giveaway Tatjana, i just luv nail paints

  20. One more product….
A very little known kajal called Mumtaz Kajal. It comes in various flavours, theres normal, theres camphor and there might be more, but i haven’t had the privilege to explore it since your get them in such few places , atleast around where i live. The colour of the tube indicated the flavours. Till now i have seen only Green and Blue. And Gia has a white one,, so that is another flavour.
Many people haven’t even heard of it. I think its more common among muslim women, because one of my muslims friends introduced me to it and she said its not very common. It comes with a small stick, so you can dip and re dip the stick in the tube. The kajal is not in liquid form, its not gel either. Its somewhere between gel and solid – powdery.
I had bought the camphor one, it was amazing. It was very cooling on eyes. Heres what it looks like –
    http://www.ruedestropiques.com/content/product_2276603s.jpg
    (Blue stands for camphor)
If i ever find it again, i’m going to buy it in BULK !!!

      1. whats MUA ?
oooommmmmmmgggggggggzzzzzzzzzz thank u thank u thank u for the site!!!!!!
and where do you live?????? where do u get it ??????? gimme gimme gimmeeeee……

        1. MUA = Make Up Artists – not the MAC kind but the old school bollywood and tv make up kind – In fact I discovered this kajal for the first time on a shoot 😯

I’ve seen it in Mumbai – cannot give the exact store because Im currently overseas – sorry 🙁 I’ll be back in a few months – If I find it then I will let you know for sure ….
but I’ve see it in the neighbourhood grocery/makeup stores around – I live near Versova if that helps 😀 😀 😀 😀

          1. :-)) I have to take a closer look to the ingredients, there are several kajals to be applied with a stick forbidden for EU import. But I´ve heard “rumors” that there are such kajals with good ingredients, too. Hopefully this one is :-)) TY

  21. Another product i,ve used is the “mannequin’s vitamin e cream”.Its great for dry skin, chapped lips, rough elbows etc.
I don’t know if this would be available on ebay tho ?:-) ?:-)

  22. and finally the Himalya eye cream. This is again a n ayurvedic company and so the cream is gentle and soothing for the eye area.
hehe i am just lovin this 😛 (need to think of more products)

  23. hiii Tatjana…
nobody above mentioned ‘blosson kochar’s aroma magic range’……….strange?i have used their foot cream and nourishing body lotion………they are amazingly good and quite inexpensive….u can easily google them……..they are worth trying….

and the other products are suparna trikha’s home made things…..she custom makes them according to ur skin’s need and i must mention she is simply amazing………she is available only in delhi….

    1. Ummm….. I am not sure how to count this because it contains TEN suggestions WOW. :-*

Jasmine Hair Oil for hot massage befor hair wash – what a bummer :inlove:
Hot treatments are not usual here but I consider them to be the best you can do for your hair, espacially in summer time and for long hair. My list gets longer and longer :-*

Attar….. sounds amazing, too. I have a very nice perfume oil from R.EXPO (they won a international award with their products) and I really love it. I will google Attar :-))

  25. hey i should mention another teeny-tiny stuff- garnier pimple control pen. it works well for me.
i think some1 else has already mentioned this, but Ayur herbal face pack is very good stuff. it costs only rs.40 for 100g pack which lasts for almost 6-7 months if u use it once a week. i have the sandalwood one. i apply it once a week with rose water and massage onto skin, then let it dry and then wash it after 20mins approx. it illuminates my skin instantly. it’s kinda home facial for me. 🙂

  26. WOW!! always wanted to tryout crackle top coat!its really nice that u r doing this giveaway !!!!|

ok but there is still one left. 😉 ……and i always wondered why IMBB has no reviews of it….cos that too is a very nice HERBAL brand :lashes: ..available here in INDIAN beauty centre.
:beauty: :beauty: :beauty: :beauty: that is ARYANVEDA. http://www.aryanveda.in/

their products are further classified as follows : body care, face care, hair care, professional range, ETHNIC RANGE. :chic:

  29. one of the product i use from ARYANVEDA is Frutify Herbal Bleach Cream. 🙂

i dont know much about bleaches…..my mom got this. and when i asked here she said this is the best of all (as out skin is sensitive and many of d bleaches are very strong or turn facial hair to goldenish color lol) :shutmouth:
so dis doesnt irritate my skin compared to the one i used once when we ran out of this one.
so dis bleach is herbal and our all time favourite.

i use it to hide my upper lip teeny weeny hair. :shutmouth: :quiet: :shame:
where as my sis uses it for her face and exposed parts for that instant glow. :lashes: :lashes:

This brand also has one more bleach called 24 Carat Gold Bleach Cream.
but havent tried it yet. 😎

btw these products are pretty affordable. :giggle: :giggle:

  30. Hi Tatjana,

The crackling nail paint on your red nails looks awesome…i so loved the effect… :inlove:
I dont think i will be lucky to win it, however my suggestions for fav Indian products (and some of them non-indian) are as follows
    1. “Multani Mitti” – or Fuller’s earth – It can be mixed with water to make a cleansing face pack to remove greasiniess and keep the face fresh. Sometimes instead of plain Multani Mitti i also like to use Ayur’s Rose Face Pack which contains ingredients like Multani Mitti, rose and calamine.
    2. Scholl’s Rough Skin remover for the feet – I think this might be available in Germany too. This is my favorite product for my feet especially when I am travelling and dont have access to salons.
    3. Lakme Pure Rouge Clusher in Rose Crush (Dusty pink in color)
    4. Lotus Anti Tan gel – cooling broadspectrum sunscreen, SPF 30 + – It contains extracts of chamomile and vanila. This comes in a gel form which is ideal for my combination skin.
    4. Bindi – I dont know if this can be called a beauty product – but i like a plain black bindi to go with my Indian dresses
    5. Colorama – Nailpolishes from Maybelline – colors Astral and Caffee Latte – Astral is a soft pink color and a single coat of Cafee Latte looks almost like a nude shade on my nails
Hope you like the products !

    1. I already used bindis and I think they are an awesome beauty product (hopefully does not sound ignorant because I do not know if they may have religious meaning, too). TY so much :-))

  31. the next product i use from same brand is Herbal Hair Oil with Amla, Bhringraj & Jatamansi.
    according to their website :

    USP: Revitalizing stimulating

    Results: Healthy luxurious hair

Benefits: Prevents hair loss and promotes hair growth

me n my mom add this to our regular coconut oil or use it alone.

The ingredients , Amla, Bhringraj & Jatamansi are very good for hair and have been used in many Indian hair oils and packs since ancient times…………….

Also they have HAIR tonic available.   :drink:

  32. HI AGAIN.. :-)) .now a little something about indian apparels and accesories :

    1) )to start with is the indian managal sutra worn by all indian married women with full heart and soul. this is not compulsory but its a tradition to wear it (by married women) . the color of it is golden and black and is definately available in various designs. and in initation and in gold.
pls google INDIAN MANGAL SUTRA….to see more of it or about anything else kuming ahead. :-)) :-))

    2) next is bindi. :silly:
available in various colors and patterns. all ages wear this. sometime back the silver color ones were worn near the edge of eyes.
during marriages …many people create nice patterns on their forehead with bindis.
(usually indian married women wear red ones and young girls wear small black ones)

    3) third one is “INDIAN JHUMKA :inlove: ” very much like earring but a lil heavy and bigger.
looks very pretty with its differnt designs. usally in gold and silver.

4)next comes out ETHNIC CHAPPALS :inlove: :inlove: ….these are really affordable…actually avaiable from rs. 20 onwards.. …..designs are simply awesome……….

n as per my observation look really cool on foreigners………….so try them….go to google to view the designs.

    5) then comes the “INDIAN BAJU BAND” WHICH IS WORN AROUND THE ARM.
looks reallly nice. looks really good when we wear indian.

but when we wear western clothes we often substitute the baju band on our arm with a tatto.
    that too looks cool.

6)oh…and how can i forget the typical INDIAN NOSE RINGS. :hypnotized: :hypnotized: i think looks pretty sexy….with nose ring and kohl in eyes and ethnic chappals.
again these have simple western patterns n typical indian patterns worn on indian clothes.

7)INDIAN PAYAL :kissed: : like an anklet…ethnic patterns afcourse. available in sooooooooo many patterns….heavier, light, various colors…look simply sweet, decent,”indian”lol…

usually are heavy but looking at today’s youth there are lighter ones to carry around.

    8) lets not forget indian apparels : :giggle: :giggle:
SARI   ……WORN WITH A BLOUSE and peticoat. with so many classy styles/forms of wearing it.
IF you watch indian serials you will definately see the actresses carrying it with so much grace in differnt styles…there are so many styles invented by the actress of 80s and 90s….

today the stylists also have come up with some kind of “ready to wear” sarees that decrease the hustle bustle of wearing it.

and some also substitute the blouse with t-shirts…
recently i have seen in magazines if the blouse is backless……….the models wear some really sexy ethnic back accesories ( thus promoting branded jewellers)

there is also indian chudidars/salwars/patiyals………these are indian version of jeans,salwars……..worn a hell lot by indians………….

9)then there is indian banglas :heh: :heh: (chudiya)………..great way to start with .

my momm loves to wear bangals….n she has really nice designs that people cant stop talking and asking about………………

    8) lasttt but never the least is “MEHENDI :rotfl: :rotfl: ” these are like people put tatoo on their body……………..we indians use heena to put it on our hands and legs and some also put it on arms like a “BAJU BAND”
there are various kinds of mehendi too. but unlike tatoos..these are not permanent…depends on the quality of mehendi how long will it last..some last for a day or too and some for a month or more…but look very good………

brides always put lot of mehendi.

hope this helps and includes……………….. :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: 😎 😎

  33. oh crap! i forgot about the ENCHANTING KITS BY “aryanveda”
    THE KITS ARE :
    Anti Acne Kit
    Anti Wrinkle Kit
    Chocolate Kit
    Aqua Cool Mint Kit
    Glow Fruit Kit :pirate:
    Gold Kit
    Fairness Kit
    Silver Kit
    Ozone Kit
    Dvine Kit
    Platinum Kit
    Manicure Kit
    Pedicure Kit
    Men Range
    Ethnic Range
    Anti Blemish Kit
    Anti Acne Kit
    Anti Wrinkle Kit
    Fairness Kit

I get acne so i bought the acne kit……..and i recently was gifted the ozone kit….

the acne kit has cleansing gel, scrub , massage gel and pack…i use dis mosty ..once in 10 days as a treatment…….and dis keeps acne away and also lightens blemishes and prevents further to kum……….
the ozone kit was given by a frnd and dats for preventing skin from pollution….
i am glad i got this as this claims to provides protection to the skin from environmental stress…..
and if ur a college girl living in mumbai with its increasing temperature, humidity and pollution………..dis is a must buy…………..

i have few pimples and more blemishes………so i got the strawberyy scrub for delicate skin of this brand…….i actually got this one when NOMARKS SCRUB FOR acne prone skin was out of stock.
this is also good……..the nomarks one doesnt has any scrubby particals..is merely gel with small visible dark green particles in a green gel……..so i guess specially for acne prone ones ………..as acne prone skin shudnt scrub too much….
but since i have more blemishes now this works too and is very delicate…..and not harsh…..

    overalllll nice range……..nice kits…
next on my list is chocolate kit/aqua kool kit which also includes serum…………….

  35. multani mittti, sandalwood packs, turmeric mixed in milk or packs, besan(flour) are some of the basic at home options……………..

    secret beauty tip: :shutmouth: :quiet:
this was given to by my teacher where i attended her beauty workshop!
since most of our skins were tanned and had some or the otheer problems………
    she suggested this
    TAKE : masoor dal(lentils)
    tomatoo(grate in it)
    lemon
    pinch of turmeric
    glycerin
    water/rose water

dis will remove tan , lighten spots, discolorations, marks etc……..
masoor dal and tomatoo are known for lightening

i did for 7 days……….i did see results……..on the spot use :gives good glow……..
she suggested 15 day use to surely see results…………..but my vacations were over to do it everyday then………..me n my mom do this once a week for sure.

you can also add your own products in it……………..all the best

    hope all of it helped….take care……….. :X-P: :X-P: :X-P:

  36. I cant enter :(, I’m in europe :-(( …….
Anyway, irrespective of that I would like to suggest Biotique’s Chlorophyll gel (Its very soothing) and their cucumber toner.
Also if you can get your hands on a Sandalwood face pack and use it with rose water and a little glycerin (if your skin is on the dryer side) that would be great for wrinkles.

    1. I am so sorry dear :rose: :rose: :rose:
But it would be senseless shipping the stuff to Europe 🙁
