Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo Review

Hi, you guys!

Today I’m reviewing Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo. This is by far one of my favorite shampoos. I recently got a keratin treatment and this is perfect to maintain the treatment. This one is infused with keratin, grape seed oil and argan oil, and helps to restore strength, protect from damage and revive shine. It’s supposed to control frizz and protect color. The package also mentions that when you buy argan oil products for your hair you’re getting one of the best natural resources for healthy-looking hair.

My Experience with Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo:

I really love the packaging, the bright blue caught my eye immediately in the store. The next thing I noticed was that this shampoo is sulphate free! Perfect! I’ve been looking for a decent sulphate free shampoo for a very long time, but it’s so hard to find one in the affordable price range. I hate buying super expensive shampoos because it’s like a dagger through your heart every time you rinse it off and watch it drain way in the shower. Hurts so bad.

I got this shampoo for S$17.99 with a 30% discount in the Chinese New Year sale. My last bottle lasted around a year and a half. While I do use shampoo almost every day, my hair is super short (way above my shoulders) so I don’t really need a lot of it. I haven’t tried any of the other Moroccan oil products out there, so I can’t really compare. However, considering the steep price difference, I’d be a little biased towards this Marc Anthony shampoo. This shampoo doesn’t really have an overpowering scent. It’s more of a faint, clean scent which is pleasant.

The first week of application didn’t really show a huge difference. But by week two, my hair was a lot softer, shinier, and way less frizzy (although I think this is just because my keratin treatment was maintained much better). I used to suffer from a lot of scalp dryness and dandruff before this shampoo, but I’d say my dandruff is reduced by around 70%. My scalp feels so great! It’s as if this shampoo is moisturising my scalp.

My hair is also colored (bright magenta, in case you were wondering). And I have to say that this shampoo doesn’t really do much for the lasting power of the hair dye. Each time I wash my hair, my shower still runs pink from the dye so I know it is still washing out. But this happens with pretty much all the shampoos I’ve tried. Despite being sulphate free, this shampoo lathers decently enough. It’s great if you need to feel the lather to feel clean.
