My Experience with Marc Jacobs #204 Amazing Le Marc Lip Creme :
Comes in a very sleek glossy black tube with the designer name embossed on it in silver. It has silver accent button which is just for show and does not serve any purpose.
Texture and pigmentation:
This lipstick is somewhat between a gel and a crème. It glides absolutely effortlessly on the lips with full opaque color in 1 swipe. Since it is so super pigmented, you have to really careful while applying this. Every small mistake can be clearly visible. I also recommend cleaning up the edges with concealer after you are done to get the clean look.
The shade Amazing is described as a candy apple red which is very true. It is a must have shade of red for party wear but you can also wear it during day time provided you keep the rest of your makeup neutral. I love pairing this shade with a clean eyes and a black cat eye flicked eyeliner ( a makeup look you can never go wrong with). It does make the teeth look whiter.
The finish of this lipstick is completely matte devoid of all shimmer. Yet, it doesn’t look flat on the lips, it has a certain degree of sheen without being shiny which makes the lips look beautiful.
Feel on lips:
These lipsticks are not hydrating but they are not too drying either. They definitely feel dryer as the day goes on, but my lips never feel parched. They do not settle in fine lines of lips, nor accentuates them. It will accentuate some dry patches on the lips if you have them, so be sure to exfoliate before use.
It stayed intact on my lips for a good 8-9 hours. It survived through snacking and drinks but after a meal, I did need to do a touch up as it fades from the inside part of the lips. It did not bleed or smudge and there is minimal transfer onto cups.
It has a light perfume floral scent which fades quickly.
Overall – yes, I highly recommend this range of lipstick by Marc Jacobs. I am loving all the shades which I picked and I would have a life crisis if you told me I could only keep one. These lippies are expensive but a splurge totally worth making.
