Hi everyone,
Reviewing two brushes from Marc Jacobs Beauty – The Conceal Full Cover Correcting Brush No. 14 and The Face III Buffing Foundation Brush.
Marc Jacobs The Conceal Full Cover Correcting Brush No. 14:
Claims:
Covers imperfections like a professional with the innovative angles of this expertly designed concealer brush. Use the flat side of the brush to apply concealer broadly, and use the angled edge to sculpt concealer into contours, such as under the eyes and around the nose.
Price:
USD 30/INR 2000 approximately.
I absolutely adore this concealer brush from Marc Jacobs. It is a long and a medium-sized brush meant to not only apply concealer, but also blend it in. The brush is slightly dense that helps in picking up the product beautifully and the tapered feathery end helps in giving an air-brushed look to the concealer. Even if you apply a heavy concealer, the feathery strokes of this brush totally makes the concealer look seamless. The bristles are tapered and light, just on the end, so it never makes the application thick or heavy handed.
The black handle has a bit of a weight and I feel it gives a little more control. Also, it does feel like quite a quality brush with its gorgeous handle and its attention to detail on how the bristles are cut for this one. I have washed it a zillion times already and it has not only held its shape but hasn’t shed a bristle. It takes pretty much the same amount of time to dry as the other brushes. It helps in spreading the concealer beautifully, evenly and without any cakiness. Would highly recommend this brush to include in your collection. 🙂

Marc Jacobs The Face III Buffing Foundation Brush:
Claims:
This ground-breaking brush is specially designed for optimal use with Re(Marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate, allowing you to instantly and easily buff your way to perfection. Its innovative brush head and blend-friendly synthetic bristles sweep foundation evenly across the skin’s curves for a full-coverage, flawless finish.
Price:
USD 48/ INR 3200Â approximately.
It is a short, chubby, dense brush meant to buff out the foundation. It also has the gorgeous glossy black handle with silver bottom. It is quite a dense round brush with synthetic bristles. The bristles are really soft and feathery against the skin. Since it is quite a big brush, I find it quite big to fit in my hands and to easily move around and work with it. Also, I find the brush quite dense and I find myself restricted to really move it around on my skin.
I wish the brush was a bit thinner, and a bit less dense, it would have been perfect. This is too big and I always find my hand movements restricted when I use this plus it takes ages to dry and also you really have to spend time to get rid of stains on the brush.
It does make the foundation look seamless but I find this brush a task on its own to use. It is tiring. Love the buttery soft bristles and the gorgeous black handle, but I just don’t reach for it often. I find it more of a body brush. If you have to buff foundation on your body, it would really help in going all in covering bigger areas at a time.
