Marcelle Waterproof Electric Blue Eyeliner Review

I am always excited when I stumble across a makeup brand which I have not used before. Today, I am reviewing an eyeliner from the brand Marcelle; this is the Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade Electric Blue. Marcelle is a Canadian brand, but I had never used any products from this brand until I used this eyeliner. Read on to find out how this eyeliner fared.

Product Description:
For impeccably lined eyes anywhere, anytime!  Perfectly blendable, its creamy formula allows for a precise and intensely coloured line. The smooth texture of this waterproof eyeliner virtually glides on the skin and stays put all day long, resisting to water, humidity and heat. Long-lasting, it is nonetheless easily removed with any Marcelle eye make-up remover. Available in a matte or pearlized finish.  Hypo-allergenic and perfume free.

My Experience with Marcelle Waterproof Electric Blue Eyeliner:

Packaging:  This eyeliner comes in a pencil format. The color of the pencil coincides with the color of the product and in this case, it is a beautiful electric blue color. The cap is see through. The eyeliner is not retractable and you will need a sharpener as the tip of the pencil is bound to get blunt over time. Not my personal favorite as it leads to product wastage. But on the positive side, a pencil format makes the application very easy.

Shade/Finish:  The eyeliner is absolutely true to its name. It is indeed a gorgeous electric blue color and since this is a cream eyeliner with no shimmer, it goes completely opaque on your eyes and sets to a nice matte finish. It is decently pigmented and hence it easily covers your eye line in a single swipe.

Texture/Staying Power:
The texture of the eyeliner is very creamy. It glides smoothly over the eyes. It sets pretty quickly and then it does not smudge or budge. It stayed put on my eyes for around 4-5 hours, which is good considering I have oily eyelids. Of course, if you rub your eyes vigorously, it will fade a bit. But as promised, it is water proof and does not wash away with water. You will need a makeup remover to take it off.  Note that the manufacturer website does not mention if this product can be used on waterline or not. But since it is being touted as hypo-allergenic, I went ahead and used it on my waterline. And it does not irritate or water my eyes. So, I am a happy person.

To summarize, Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner Electric Blue is a beautiful blue shade which has a nice texture and good staying power. It comes in 14 different shades so you are likely to find something that catches your fancy.
