Oiling is an essential part of hair care and oiling the hair strands is as important as oiling the scalp. Earlier I used to oil my scalp with sticky hair oils and avoided applying oil on the strands as it made my thin hair look limp. I found it difficult to wash off the oil completely using a mild shampoo. But again strong shampoos create major build ups on scalp. That’s when I had to switch to light hair oils. I have been doing so for last many years and this time I picked up this hair oil.

My experience with Marico’s Hair and Care Non Sticky Hair Oil:

To start with this hair oil is actually so light and non sticky that it can be used as a hair serum too as it does not make the hair limp at all and the credit goes to the presence of vegetable oil in it. It has a sweet smell which is neither very strong nor does it stay after washing off the hair. As its non sticky I apply it and leave it overnight. After washing my hair it gives me soft and lesser dry hair. My mother has color treated dry hair and this works for her too. Overall the results are pretty good for the price.

It does not do anything to control fly away hair unless used as a serum and if I am not wrong it consists Cyclomethicone which is a form of silicon (thanks to IMBB for making us well informed buyers) which is definitely not suitable to be used for an extended period of time. That’s why I use it only on my hair strands and have different hair oil for my scalp.
