Skin type: Dry, sensitive skin.
There are times when I have a very bad and dry, patchy skin. It’s so severe that I avoid any kind of makeup because it highlights and magnifies the dry patches even more. I tried a lot of things from oils to lotions and serums to fight this issue and this product is an addition to that line of solutions. I picked up this moisturiser from Ulta beauty as the lady suggested me for my ongoing skin issues and I was sold by her descriptions 🙂
Price and Quantity: $20 for 59 ml.
Mario Badescu AHA & Ceramide Moisturiser (59ml) is an oil-free, daily moisturiser, ideal for combination and oily skin types. Rich in alpha hydroxyl acids, this daily hydrating cream also contains lemon extract and soothing aloe vera gel and works to rejuvenate and revive dull, congested skin. Radiance and texture are improved, whilst sun spots and skin pigmentation are evened out.

My Experience with Mario Badescu AHA and Ceramide Moisturizer:
Packaging: All the Mario Badescu products come in a very simple, plain cane packaging. It’s very easy to ignore them in store displays and this bottle is no different. This comes in a plastic bottle with an inbuilt straw less pump. The moisturiser is pale yellow in color and can be seen as the bottle is opaque.
As I said, my skin is extremely dry and nothing is working out, despite several changes in my routine. I have used this moisturiser after cleansing my face. The moisturiser is very lightweight and sinks into the skin almost instantly. There is a pale herbal smell to it. I have not noticed any huge difference in my skin but, it feels very comforting on the skin. This is a great daytime moisturiser but, it won’t do much for deep hydration. I love the non-oiliness in it as it helps for a well-prepped skin for makeup. I have been using it for a day and it does make the skin soft but, it doesn’t last long. I think it’s a good everyday moisturiser but, not a rescue product.
All I can say about is that it has not caused any breakouts as I am very sensitive to a lot of ingredients. I have also tried it mixing with my foundation to make it more blendable. The claims about the wrinkle reduction and removing spots don’t hold true in my case as I haven’t noticed any such difference even after 2 months of regular use. I think any brand should refrain from making tall claims about products that deliver mediocrely.
Pros of Mario Badescu AHA and Ceramide Moisturizer:
- No oiliness.
- Makes skin soft.
Cons of Mario Badescu AHA and Ceramide Moisturizer:
- Doesn’t provide deep moisture.
- False claims.
IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
