My first IMBB sponsored product…yaaaay!! I cannot start the review without giving due credit to Jomol. She was the one who constantly kept reminding me about the IMBB sponsored scheme and I had shamefacedly kept delaying it 😛 However all writers @ IMBB very well know that it is very hard to ignore such a wonderful and amiable person like her…. isn’t it 🙂
The tough part was not coming up with the products I wanted to have (have a work-in-progress journal of wish-list), the catch was not to get distracted by all that I wanted to squeeze in….long story short…..Mario Badescu’s Cellufirm drops topped the list. I had heard about this brand while watching an interview of Martha Stewart. She credited her skin care regime to Mario Badescu’s products in which Cellufirm Drops was one of her favorites. Hence I picked up this serum as the first product that I wanted to try from MB.
Mario Badescu Cellufirm Drops Packaging:
The serum comes in a plastic bottle, which is semi opaque. I found the packaging travel friendly and easy to use. The serum is extremely lightweight with liquid consistency. It has a green color and very mild pleasant fragrance, which fades away almost immediately.
$25 for 1 oz. (30 ml)
My Experience with Mario Badescu Cellufirm Drops:
I usually take 4 -5 drops of the serum and apply it to my cleansed face. The serum gets immediately absorbed in the skin as soon as I apply. I was initially apprehensive of the green hue of the serum, but thankfully, did not end up with green skin color.
I have been using this serum diligently both day and night for the past one week. I have been finding my skin to be more even looking, healthier and nourished. The presence of collagen and seamollient (algae) in the serum has been really helpful for my skin. Do you know the feeling when you use the product and it really works well on your skin…..”kuch kuch hota hai”….my point exactly!
The serum provides a decent amount of moisturization to my skin as it contains hyaluronic acid. However, as I have super dry skin, I usually layer all my serums with a face cream. I think for the oily skin, the serum by itself should suffice. The fact that this serum does not hinder the subsequent cream application makes it very viable. Also, the serum is safe to use around the eyes…”sone pe suhaga!!”
The mild fragrance of the serum fades away very soon after application. I would not say that the serum provides a major face lift, but it has been very helpful to make my skin feel smoother. This paraben-free serum has been so far very good product. I found the antioxidants present in the serum have been really helpful for my skin.

- Availability in India (sorry folks! )
Would I Repurchase Mario Badescu Cellufirm Drops?
Yes, absolutely buying this product again. Also highly recommending the product too, if you want to pick up a serum from MB. I am really glad this was the first MB product that I used. I have in fact picked up another serum as well and keeping fingers crossed that it turns out to be a “chamatkar” too 😛
PS: Sorry for the ‘filmi’ rant, overdosed on the Bollywood movies this weekend 😉 😛
