Marks and Spencer Floral Collection Gardeners’ Basil & Lemon Intensive Hand Balm Review

Hello beauties!:)

Marks and Spencer is definitely one of my favorite brands when it comes to casual clothing, however, the last time I got a beauty product from their store, I was highly disappointed! But after reading tons of good reviews of their hand creams, I decided to pick up this hand balm on my last visit. Let’s see how this fared!

My experience with Marks & Spencer Floral Collection Gardeners Basil&lemon Intensive Hand Balm

The hand balm comes in a tube packaging ( yes! No tub packaging!!) which makes it really convenient to use. The tube is beige in colour and has soft flowery pattern in the background which makes it look very summery and pretty. There’s nothing much to the packaging, it’s simple, sturdy and pretty. The labelling has all the product information including the ingredients and product description. Though it’s a bit big in size, but one can always find space to toss it in their bag.

The so called hand ‘balm’ has a consistency which is thicker than that of a normal hand cream. It spreads easily but definitely you need to work in the product by massaging it a longer for it to disappear. The product has a distinct yet not so strong fragrance to it. The fragrance doesn’t remind of any familiar scent, but it doesn’t really bother me and fades away after a while of application.

After applying this balm on my hands, they definitely feel very hydrated and soft. I am impressed with the fact how this moisturises and softens the skin. However, if I wash my hands after 2-3 minutes of application I definitely see that the balm rinses away. But, my hands still feel hydrated and not dry and scratchy at all. It’s like a hair conditioner, it would be removed if you run it under water, but still make your hair smooth and soft!

Me being me, I didn’t restrict the use of this balm to my hands. I wanted to write a detailed review, so I even got my mom to use it on her feet and elbows or basically the places she felt she had dryness and leave it overnight. In the morning, she told me she was very happy with the results. She has some complaint of itching on a part of her hand and it disappeared in the morning. This balm really conditions the skin and makes it smooth. I am however not too sure if this repairs very dry and harsh hands, but the results, even though might be temporary, are pretty impressive.

Pros of Marks & Spencer Floral Collection Gardeners Basil&lemon Intensive Hand Balm:

  •  Nice packaging
  •  Conditions skin
  •  Makes my hands soft and smooth
  •  Light fragrance
  •  Less is more
  •  Doesn’t irritate skin
  •  Stands true to the claims
  •  Cruelty free 🙂

Cons of Marks & Spencer Floral Collection Gardeners Basil&lemon Intensive Hand Balm:

  • Washes away if you run your hands under water(unavoidable)and needs reapplication often
  •  Results might be temporary

IMBB Rating- 4.5/5

Would I buy/ would I recommend Marks & Spencer Floral Collection Gardeners Basil&lemon Intensive Hand Balm ?
125ml of this product seems a lot! And will take forever to get over it, and I like to try different products. So I might not buy it again, but I will definitely recommend this to others.

Have a lovely day! Xoxo
