Marks and Spencer Rose Moisturising Body Cream Review

Marks and Spencer Rose Moisturising Body Cream Review

What it claims: With the fragrance of timeless English Rose, this richly moisturising body cream has a carefully balanced PH to leave your skin beautifully scented, feeling softened and fully moisturised.

Marks & Spencer Rose Moisturising Body Cream

What I like about Marks and Spencer Rose Body Cream:

  • The fragrance: Very mild and ‘barely there’ sorts. It smells exactly like crushed roses. I have never come across a body cream that comes so close to smelling like real roses.
  • The consistency: It is between a lotion and a cream though more the latter than the former. It is not runny though sometimes I do find it a bit slippery on my skin which I, in fact, love! I like the fact that this cream does not weigh my skin down or make my pores feel clogged.
  • The texture: Smooth, velvety and even. This cream glides like a dream on my body.
  • Since it is not very moisturising and completely non-oily and non-greasy, this body cream can be easily used in the summer season.

What I don’t like about Marks and Spencer Rose Body Cream:

  • The fragrance does not last beyond 2 hours or so but then that could also be because it is, in any case, a very mildly fragrant body cream.
  • It is merely an afterbath cream to keep your body supple. It has more or less zero moisturising properties if used otherwise by dry skinned people or by those combating harsh winters.
  • Contains every possible paraben ! 🙁

Verdict: An average product.

Rating: :-* :-* :-*

Would you purchase again? : No, simply because I would like to try more such products from Marks and Spencer. I already have their Shea Body Butter (also reviewed on IMBB by me) and I prefer it anyday over this cream both because of the natural sheen that it imparts to my legs and arms and its superlasting fragrance and moisturisation.
