I first tested this perfume at a Marks and Spencer store and fell in love with it! Unfortunately, it was out of stock and I could not find it for a couple of months that followed. So finally, my sister found it for me and here is the review of Marks and Spencer Opulence Oud Eau de Parfum.

My Experience with Marks and Spencer Opulence Oud Eau de Parfum:
I love the packaging. It looks like an expensive perfume with its golden theme. The bottle is see-through and you can see the beautiful golden liquid inside. The cap and nozzle are also golden. The cap has exotic designs embossed and it is made of plastic. The spray works well and the product does not leak. The bottle comes in a matching golden cardboard box. Overall, the packaging is as gorgeous as it can get for this price. And, it matches the theme of the perfume well.
I personally prefer warm fragrances – anything spicy, woody allures me. I get a bad headache if someone wears a perfume that’s too sweet or floral, so I have to choose my perfumes very carefully. I had tested this one at the store and I knew I would like it and that it won’t give me a headache.
“Opulence Oud” is a very elegant and sensual fragrance. It has warm and spicy notes of vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli and oudh. It starts as the perfect mix of all these notes and you can smell oud, vanilla and sandalwood throughout its wear time. In the initial 4-5 hours, it smells like the perfect oud fragrance and then it sets as a warm plus spicy mix. I cannot really explain the fragrance but it is sweet, spicy and woody at the same time.
The overall scent is insanely beautiful (at least to me) and lasts super long on my skin as well as on clothes. It is a very pleasant (and did I say sexy?) fragrance and I think women from every age group would like it. You just need to adjust the intensity of the scent. The sillage, too, is pretty long and the fragrance lingers around for hours.
The fragrance has a very luxurious, classy and sensual vibe to it. You can wear it during daytime as well as to night-time events and still rock it. Still, I feel the fragrance can be a little overwhelming and cheap in the initial 10-15 minutes but it smells fabulous once it settles.
Overall, I would not say this is the best perfume around; it isn’t even my favorite but I really like it. It is one of those long-lasting, classy fragrances that everyone loves. Perfumes anyway last pretty long on my skin and this one too lasts 7-8 hours easily. The staying power, of course, varies from person to person.
If you’re intrigued, do check this one out at the store and give it a try if you like oud-based fragrances. This one is amazing for the price and I’ll repurchase it for sure. And I think this one makes for a great gift as well.
