Matrix Biolage Colorcaretherapie Color Bloom Masque Review

Matrix Biolage Colorcaretherapie Color Bloom Masque Review

I have coloured hair and due to that I experience dry and frizzy hair quite often and it makes me go crazy and I try to find products that can make them look and feel better. During one of my online browsing searches for color care products, I came across this mask from Matrix.  I have heard people raving about Redken hair care, but it’s not available in India 🙁 so I got this one. The bold letters saying “paraben free” helped me to take the decision *hanji* Let’s see how this product fared on its claims.

My Experience with Matrix Biolage Colorcaretherapie Color Bloom Masque:

I have been looking around for good hydrating hair masks since long and over these years, I have used a couple of them from various brands. I have naturally medium brown hair and they are quite limp, but since I started colouring them, it took a toll and all sorts of issues started to crop out. I have been giving my hair the TLC it needs but it was not doing enough to tame them. Among all the products I have used earlier, there was one hair mask that did wonders and it was TRESemmé Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque which I have used during my stay in London. I have been using hot oil treatment once every week with coconut, olive and jojoba oil as well as the Biotique musk root mixed with curd, but still felt the need for an additional product to make my hair more smooth and shiny.

As I previously said, that during online browsing I found this mask and only because of the claims that it did not have silicones and parabens and formulated for color-treated hair, I thought to give it a try. It’s a huge tub, almost half a kilo *hihi* with a pink screw cap, so you can’t even imagine taking this jumbo on a holiday. The color is white and texture is similar to most cream conditioners with a very mild non-annoying smell.  I hate hair products that try to do the job of your perfume *P*. As directed, I shampooed my hair with L’Oreal Color Care Shampoo (that’s the only one that has worked well for me).  I applied this mask generously and patiently relaxed for 5 minutes and then washed off with cold water.  It washed off quite easily as it’s not as thick as some other hair masks that I have used (they are a pain to get out from the hair).  I towel dried my hair and as my hair dried off, it became much softer and less frizzy than it used to be. The overall results were satisfactory for me and I like this mask but not still in love as it does the job decently. My search for the ultimate color care product still continues.

Would I Repurchase Matrix Biolage Colorcaretherapie Color Bloom Masque?

Since it’s a huge one, it would take a long time to finish it, but I like this one better than all the other ones flooding the markets. I might buy it but if I find the Tresemme mask, I would switch to that. You could try this if you have coloured hair.

  1. I have their hydrathrapie, opticare and smoothing masks in my bathroom, and I use them at times when I get bored of others. I really like them but I wish they came up with a different smell. 😛
