Matrix Biolage Delicate Care Shampoo
By Astha Goel
Hi beauties!
Today I am going to review a shampoo from Matrix Biolage, which is kind of new in the market, and it is their Delicate Care shampoo from the colorcare therapie line. It is meant for sensitized or colour treated hair.
I ordered this online after one of my friends suggested this as I have really wavy, dry and frizz prone hair.
Description:
-A Plant based, sulphate free mild shampoo
-Formulated with fair trade complex of antioxidant Acai berry and Argan oil
-Helps shield and nurture multi processed or coloured hair
-Maintains lipid balance and extends colour sheen to prevent fading
-Leaves hair touchable in bright colour
Price: 9.50 GBP for 250 ml of the product.
Ingredients:
Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Distearate, Glycereth-26, Decyl Glucoside, Fragrance, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Divinyldimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, Amodimethicone, Polyquaternium-7, Polyquaternium–10, PPG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Propylene Glycol, Carbomer, C11-15 Pareth-7, Argania Spinosa Oil, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Limonene, Trideceth-12, Laureth-9, Euterpe Oleracea Pulp Powder, C12-12 Pareth-23, Hexyl Cinnamal, C-12-13-Pareth-3, Coumarin, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Enzyl Alcohol, Hydroxycitronellal, Amyl Cinnamal, Methylchloroisothazolinone, Methylsothiazolinone, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid
My experience with Matrix Biolage Delicate Care Shampoo:
This comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a flip open cap on top, which is comfortable to use in the shower. The consistency is like a thin cream. I mean it’s a little runny and feels creamy at the same time.
I use this when I have no oil in my hair. One great aspect of this product is how amazingly it lathers in spite of being an all-organic sulphate free shampoo. It does an awesome job at cleaning the hair without stripping the hair to dryness, which I really love about it. Hair feels really clean and it effectively takes care of all the buildup in the hair. But the catch here is, a lot of product is required for getting it to work. That makes me a little annoyed in the shower, as this bottle was kind of expensive.
I like to keep a towel on my head after I am done washing my hair for around 10-20 minutes depending on what I have to do. Now it leaves my hair really soft. It takes care of tangles also. Hair looks shinier as it doesn’t dry out the hair.
I had red-brown streaks on my hair at the back and the colour did last longer than it usually would. So this shampoo is indeed amazing for colour treated and delicate dry hair.
I would like to point out that my hair looked better when I straightened them using a flat iron. I suppose this is due to the Argan oil component which is known to seal in the cuticles making the hair look smoother.
Pros of Matrix Biolage Delicate Care Shampoo:
1. Sulphate, Paraben free with Argan oil and antioxidants, which is wonderful
2. Effectively cleans without drying out.
3. Lathers amazingly well being a sulphate free shampoo
4. Very good for dry and colour treated hair
5. Smells good.
6. Makes hair smooth, shiny and more manageable.
Cons of Matrix Biolage Delicate Care Shampoo:
1. Will not take out the oil if you use it on oiled hair.
2. A lot of quantity is required per usage so this would at max last for 1.5 to 2 months as I wash my hair every other day.
3. Availability in India might be an issue.
4. It is on the pricy side.
Will I recommend Matrix Biolage Delicate Care Shampoo?
Sure, if you have dry hair, do try it out!
