Ola Beautiful Girls,

Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil Review

I have been working on this review since a long time, but things were getting delayed because of my laziness.  Whenever I got spare time, instead of working on this review, I surfed IMBB and this wonderful site took all my time. 😐 I thank Rati for creating this wonderful blog, but today, I decided to complete this review. It’s about my favorite hair oil since a long time, “Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil.”

Matrix Biolage

Before beginning, let me tell you a story first. Story of a girl who was having coarse, frizzy, and dry hair. Whenever she would comb her hair, she wished for smooth, soft, fairy-like silky, shiny hair.  She tried so many things, but nothing worked. One day, the girl’s mother gave her a hair massage with an ordinary coconut oil blended with a miraculous mixture of almond and jasmine oil and she woke up the next morning with soft and silky hair. Since this hair massaging routine was taking a lot of time and effort, she started looking elsewhere.  That’s when she came across Matrix products and got the Matrix Root Nourishing Oil home.  Within the first 5 minutes of massaging with the nourishing oil, her hair was smooth and shiny!

The girl in the story is “me!”

My Take on Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil:

This oil comes in a green, transparent, plastic bottle with a flip cap. As is mentioned in the description, it is a root-to-tip nourishing oil.  I use it that way only, for root-to-tip oiling of my hair.  The oil is not very sticky like other oils.  When I first bought this, I thought 100 ml oil won’t last me long, but surprisingly, only a small amount is required as it spreads well.  I apply the oil on the scalp section by section and once I start massaging, it spreads all along the roots and this way the oil will last you for a good 2-3 months even with regular oiling 3 times a week. I should mention that I have thick, shoulder length hair. The oil gets washed off pretty easily too.  I don’t use Matrix Nourishing Shampoo, but any shampoo works well enough to wash out the oil from the hair.

Matrix Biolage

Looking at the ingredients list, I can only figure out some oils with some other ingredients.  I don’t like the idea of applying so many chemicals on my scalp, but this oil is good, so I guess I could live with this.

Pros of Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil:

  • Lives up to its claim, provides root-to-tip nourishment.
  • Very effective.
  • Non sticky, non greasy.
  • Spreads nicely and shows results with a short period of time.
  • Only a small amount is enough for covering the entire length of hair.
  • Travel-friendly packing.

Cons of Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil:

  • Price.
  • There are many chemicals in the ingredients list which I cannot comprehend.
  • People with extremely dry hair may require more quantity than normal.
  • Though this oil is available at professional salons, still availability can be an issue.

Will I Repurchase Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil?

Yes of course, in fact, this is my third bottle.

Do I Recommend Matrix Biolage Root Nourishing Oil?

Yes, to everyone for root-to-tip nourishment.

  1. looks like i need it!!! :pigtail: :pigtail: thank you for the review!!my hair-fall control therapy leaves my already dry hair parched!!! :headbang: :headbang: 😥 😥

      1. it does!!! but you need to know what is causing it…mine is hereditary female pattern baldness so i have to use it life long… 😥 😥 😥 if yours is because of anemia, vit deficiency or illness even a short duration therapy may help :methinks: :methinks: if you have more queries , feel free to ask… 🙂 :specs: :specs:

        1. thanks a lot.. i have thick curly hair, my hairfall condition is mild and it keeps coming and going and its because of anemia , but once i was prescribed rogaine by a derm and i had bad hair loss and dryness , so i never buy hairfall products anymore .. you think therapy is completely herbal?

          1. rogaine is a liquid known to cause irritation, i had LAYERS of dandruff with it!!! if you take my advice, try tugain 5 foam… cant say it will be 100% irritation free, but it much much better!!! i have started it just from last month and oh-boy, my scalp is happy   but hair is still dry and recovering :struggle: :struggle: :struggle: and there is an homoeopathic hair oil called ‘jabrandi’, long term results are good i heard . to maintain healthy iron level, try eating dates or having 2 spoons date syrup everyday!!! goodluck

          2. Hey Dipika, I would also lose a lot of hair due to anemia a couple of years back. Then, the doctor prescribed me this Iron + Vitamin B-12 tonic called ‘Dexorange’. It stopped my anemic blackouts and an added benefit was that it controlled hairfall. You could try consulting your doctor and taking that tonic. I believe they have capsules too but the tonic is tastier.

            1. You find dexorange tastier!!! :tremble: :tremble: :tremble:
I dont like the taste :(( even i am anemic, doctor suggested the same, but the bottle is in the cupboard unfinished 😥 😥

  2. I co wash every day but still my hair is dry on the days I shampoo it, I guess I’ll try this now as a pre wash treatment. Nice review 😀

  3. Thank u so much for the review.. :pompom: i saw this oil @ my hair stylist’s place but didn’t buy it as it did not have a review @ IMBB.. 😛 now as it has got good reviews, i am gonna grab em soon 😀 😀

  4. “Apply required amount of hair on scalp and hair” :vampire: :sidefrown: :sidefrown:
does it work for hairfall? M gonna try this I hv dry hair wid oily scalp so i need to wash my head daily thereby leading to more dry hair :headbang:

    1. you can wash your scalp with plain water and apply conditioner on the ends and rinse it and follow with leave in. thats what i did when i had the same problem, it sure didn’t make it worse :haanji: :haanji:

  5. the story yu wrote at the beginning seemed like my own! only difference being im still struggling to get those silky, shiny hair!
thanks for sharing, definitely gonna look for it now :woot:

  6. its nice !! have been getting regular head massages with this (the oil is warmed) and my hair behaves itself nowdays !!!

  7. sounds pretty awesome rashmi but i am not too experimental when it comes to oils. glad you found a good one for yourself. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

  8. nice review Rashmi  it’s good that u have found a promising product to help you with ur hair problems….. :yahoo:  i use matrix biolage fortifying shampoo and i find it good….umm,,okayish types 😀

  9. Great review, Rashmi! :woot: :woot: I saw this oil at my salon but didn’t want to spend money on it unless it was allowed by an IMBB review. 😛 Despite the unusually high price for a hair oil, I may give this a try now. :pigtail:
