Matrix Hydra Creme Intense Moisture Masque Review

My erratic work schedules and hours in the sun and pollution because of my kind of a job (I am a tv reporter :P) had left my hair frizzy and lifeless, but recently, I have got a wonderful product which not only made my wavy hair smooth once again, but even brought back the much-needed shine.  So, I thought that I should share this wonder product with my friends at IMBB 🙂

The wonder product is “Matrix Biolage Hydra Creme Intense Moisture Hair Masque” with aloe. I bought it when my hair had been extensively damaged due to long hours in the sun and pollution.  I have mid-length thick hair which is brown in colour.  I recently had got some red streaks, which have now faded to a beautiful copper. To sum it all, I have average hair, but due to loads of damage, they had actually turned straw-like frizzy!

I was looking for a nice deep treatment mask or conditioner which I could use to undo the damage done to my hair when a friendly SA handed me this.  This is a new launch from Matrix Biolage range. The SA also suggested that I should couple the shampoo and conditioner also, but at that moment, I only settled for the hair masque and believe me, the decision has not gone bad.

Priced at Rs. 470, this awesome mask comes in a tub with a lovely lilac cap. For 490 gms, this is truly value for money.

I generally use it as a weekly treatment. After washing and towel drying my hair, I apply this and then massage it till the tips. I use a shampoo comb to spread it evenly. After 10 minutes, I wash it off. The first time though I did not notice any miraculous result, which made me feel a little disappointed, but then, from the second wash onwards, things improved and after a month, I realized that this actually makes my hair super smooth and there is a beautiful perfume which lingers in your hair.

Matrix Hydra Creme Intense Moisture Masque

Pros of Matrix Hydra Creme Intense Moisture Masque:

  • Good value for money. For Rs. 470, you get 490 gms.
  • Nice floral smell, which after the wash fades for a beautiful effect.
  • Contains aloe which is a good herb for countering dryness.
  • Makes your hair really smooth and easy to comb through.
  • Doesn’t weigh your hair down.
  • Does not contain parabens.

Cons of Matrix Hydra Creme Intense Moisture Masque:

  • May not show results on the first use, so requires a lot of patience 🙁
  • Comes in a tub, so have to dig my fingers. I have started using a wooden spoon though.

I hope you guys loved this review.

IMBB Rating:

I give it 4 out of 5 and will definitely repurchase it, but with its quantity, I think, it will last a good three to four months.

You earlier did a post on Loreal Shine and Curl hair masque. I have very curly hair and very satisfied with Matrix Biolage range. Please tell me which hair masque is better – Loreal one or matrix…
