Max Factor Color Elixir Lip Liner in 12 Red Blush Review

Hello IMBBians,

Off lately, I have been obsessed with lip liners. Max factor is one of the brand that most makeup artists/ bloggers trust to be good and even though I had an okay kind of relationship with the Max Factor Luminizer foundation, I wanted to try my luck again and went a little overboard! I purchased all the available shades from Max Factor Color Elixir Lip Liner range and some creamy blushes! So today’s review is on Max Factor Color Elixir Lip Liner in 12 Red Blush. What the company claims:
There really is no better way to get that ‘precise’ look the professionals create in seconds. Luckily, this lipliner has the perfect texture for easy application – firm enough to quickly and neatly draw around your lips yet soft enough to be gentle on the surrounding skin.

My Experience with Max Factor Color Elixir Lip Liner in 12 Red Blush:

I have more lip liners than lipsticks! When I first bought my MUA lip liner in brooding plum, I never went back of not using a lip liner! Lip liners have become a daily essential to me. I went out shopping to buy a blush, while I was looking at the lipsticks, I saw that they had matching lip liners and thus I bought Lip liners instead of lipsticks. It was cheaper than lipsticks!

The Lip liner comes in a sealed plastic cover packaging. It was tough to remove! I struggled so much to get the plastic cover off! The lip pencil is gold in color and at the end, has the color of the liner it houses. The cap is transparent and fits well. The lip pencil is a sharpening pencil and you need to sharpen it accordingly. I have read negatives about the issue in sharpening. I haven’t tried it yet but will keep you updated in the upcoming posts. The lip liner is creamy and has a soft texture. It glides easily without a fuss. The lip liner is pink in color. It more of a pink with subtle reddish hues and the name “Red Blush” is apt for it. There are glittery particles in the lip pencil, but they are very small and gives out a little shine to the lips in the perfect light. Even though the lip liner is creamy, applying on non-moisturized lips can be brutal!

The lip liner do not provide any moisturization effect like claimed. When applied on bare lips, it highlights my dryness and creases. But application on moisturized lips makes wonders. The lip pencil can be used to draw lines and fill with ease. However, a lip balm is needed for rescue after 3-4 hours. The lip pencil gives a matte finish and lasts really long. I had my lips filled in the morning and there was no bleeding or smudging for the whole day. The color transfer is very minimal/ less noticeable or never! Removing the lip liner needs a remover and cannot be rubbed off/ removed with just plain water. Overall, it is a good lip liner and I am happy with the product. So summing up:

Cons of Max Factor Color Elixir Lip Liner in 12 Red Blush:
