Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – 760 Mystic Mocha

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – 760 Mystic Mocha

Hello Girls,

I was in search of a very good peach lipstick, something very matte, and I spent a lot of time at a cosmetic store to pick the kind of peach that I wanted.  I bought 3 lipsticks that I liked. Though they were not really the kind of “peach” that I wanted, but I still got them.

One was the Faces Glam On Lipstick in Silken Peach that I reviewed a few days back and today I will be reviewing the Max Factor Color Elixir Lipstick in Mystic Mocha 760.

Max Factor Mystic Mocha

My Take on Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – 760 Mystic Mocha:

The lipstick has the colour end with the shade name on it, so that is really comfortable while picking it from your stash. The shade I picked, Mystic Mocha, is very brownish. When I swatched it at the store, I found the colour very pretty and so I got it. The texture is creamy and smooth and glides easily on the lips.  It provides enough pigmentation and is slightly glossy, I am very happy with that. It is enough moisturising on the lips and does not settle into fine lines.

Swatches

The lipstick bullet has an ‘X’ etched into it which just adds to the “experience” of using it. For a creamy lipstick, it had a decent lasting time for about 4 hours, the only time I needed to reapply was after eating. Once worn off, my lips still felt moisturised and smooth.

brown

I reduce the intensity of the ‘’brown’’ by using the MAC Lip Erase underneath and that makes it stay for some more time. I compared Mystic Mocha to Faces Glam On Lipstick in Silken Peach. You can see the difference in the shades in the following picture.

Lipstick Comparison

The shades are pretty close except that Silken Peach appears to have a pinkish tinge while Mystic Mocha is brown. These also look very close to Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cocoa Sheer, which is also another flattering brown.

Pros of Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – 760 Mystic Mocha:

  • Good pigmentation.
  • Creamy, glides easily and very moisturising.
  • Does not settle into fine lines.
  • Amazing range of shades to choose from.
  • Good staying power for a creamy lipstick.

Cons of Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – 760 Mystic Mocha:

  • It’s a little pricey.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

    1. Well I’d say before gettin any lipstick swatch it and make sure it suits you well enough and only then get it. I am sure you are allowed to try them out at most of the counters so that wouldn’t be a problem. To my knowledge coral shades look gorgeous on fair skin tones..pinks and plums would look amazing on medium tones and rich browns and burgundy shades and peaches look very good on dark skin tones..! Peaches would suit any complexion because they look quite natural on the lips..
There are so many experts here on IMBB you can take their opinion too! 🙂
