Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation

Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation

Hello Friends!

My mom has always been a loyal customer of Lakme. She has used their cosmetics for like ages. I decided that she really needs a break from Lakme and especially now that I do have some knowledge about cosmetics, and there are so many better brands than Lakme. I decided I would first start by gifting her a compact powder. I wanted a very good one so that she would just forget Lakme.

Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation

I was just hopping around in a cosmetic store and searched for a lot of compacts, but never felt my mom would like them. Finally, at the Max Factor counter, the SA showed me this compact called Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation with SPF 15. I bought that and gifted it to my mom. Do you think she liked it? Read on to find out.

810 INR for 10 gm.

My Take on Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation:

It is called a compact foundation because it has more of a foundation-like finish; a little more matte finish than the loose compact powders. I bought it in the shade 07 Bronze. My mom is of dusky complexion and the shade looked a bit “orangish”on her. I have learnt a lesson not to buy cosmetics when the person who is supposed to use them is not there to try. 🙁 You see mothers are such sweethearts, my mom has told me not to worry and has told me that she would use it somehow and finish it off. She also said that the texture is very smooth and that she would get another in the perfect shade the next time! Wow! That made me so happy! I was in a jubilant mood after I heard what she had to say about this product.

Now, talking about the compact, it is very smooth in texture. A sponge and a mirror case too are provided, which makes it easy to carry anywhere.  Also, it is a very slim case, it can be slipped into a handbag or a purse easily. The mirror is big enough for comfortable application.

It is great for touch-ups and gives a light coverage, but it can be built upon.  If the right shade is picked, it will not look too caked up. It has a very matte finish and for people with perfect skin, it would make their skin look flawless. The SPF 15 in it is an added advantage. It does not really control oil for a long time and face gets oily after a few hours of application which is when you usually might do a touch up.

Lasting power is around 6 hours. Skin does not breakout. The texture is very smooth and fine and feels very light on the skin. There are quite some number of shades to choose from, so it would not be difficult to choose the right one for your skin tone.

Pros of Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation:

  • Comes in a very convenient packaging with a sponge and a large mirror.
  • Very smooth, light and easy to apply.
  • Easy to carry, can be slipped into any vanity bag.
  • Contains SPF 15.
  • Skin does not break out.
  • Gives a matte finish, very handy to use for touch ups.

Cons of Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation:

  • Does not control oiliness to a great extent.
  • I would appreciate if the staying power was longer.
  • Price is on the higher side.

  3. I love maxfactor products esp foundations – they never ever caused any irritations on my skin – but the shade selection`s always been a problem 🙁 Its either too pink or too white for me :yikes: Even the chambor wet and dry foundation is a good product – but the shade selection`s pathetic. : :nababana: Good review though – i always love foundi /base reviews 😀 😀
