MaxFactor Kohl Pencil – 060 Ice Blue
Hello cuties,
I am back with a review and it is the Max Factor khol pencil in Ice Blue that I will be reviewing today. I bought it along with the NYX eye pencil which proved a big dud for me so I was relying on this to be good. Read on to know if it did fulfil my expectations.
Price: 220 INR
What the product says:
This Kohl Pencil is your secret weapon to sexy, striking eyes! As well as defining the shape and adding a splash of color to your look, it can be sexily smudged across your eyelid and under the lower lashes in true rock chic style. The soft, easy blend pencil takes seconds to apply and gives an instant shot of glamour if you’re going from desk to dance floor or from workout to work!
My experience with MaxFactor Kohl Pencil – 060 Ice Blue:
First of all I was really surprised to find a blue kohl pencil. I mean when I imagine kohl only a dense black colour comes to my mind. I picked it up anyways because I just love blue pencils. Ice blue is a milky blue which has very fine and minute shimmer in it. The shimmer is so fine you won’t see it on the pencil. The pigmentation is great and it gives good colour in a single swipe. You can build it up with 2-3 swipes. The formula is smooth and creamy and it does not tug my eyes while applying.
Since it said it is a khol, I applied it to my waterline as well as an eyeliner on my upper lashline. As an eye-liner it works really well. It has good staying power of more than 4 hours and if you use a proper base it would last even better. It does not get transferred to my eyelids and I love that about this pencil. I used it in super hot summers and it was still good to use and not at all messy. It is not smudge-proof but it does not smudge like crazy.
As a kohl on my waterline it did a decent job. It did not cause any irritation or stinging and did not get on to my contacts. So it is safe for contact lens wearers. It does not stay as long as an eye-liner but it was there for a good three hours and then it faded a bit. Since it shows up a little lighter on the waterline I had to re-apply after 3 hours which is not an issue for me. Use it with black eyeliner on the upper lashline and this on your waterline or lower lashline and a coat of mascara and it would totally brighten your eyes.
The packaging is decent nothing special, the shade is mentioned on the pencil and the end of the pencil is the colour of the kohl so makes it easy to spot. It comes in sharp able pencil which is the only con for me since sharpening leads to wastage. I wish it was in a retractable pencil.
I would definitely recommend this khol to you all. It is a good product at a decent price. And I recently did a small haul and I am so excited to review some of products for you. I am attaching a picture of it, hope you guys like it.
