I hope all of you are having a good week. I am doing a review of a lip tint this time.  I guess you all have heard of lip tints. They are generally like markers which are used to provide lips with a long-lasting finish which feels as if nothing has been put on the lips. I personally try to stay away from lip tints because I have very sensitive lips due to eczema, but the idea of having naturally pink-looking lips always tempted me. So, I bought this one.

Product Description:

Max factor, the make-up of make-up artists.  Max Factor Lip Tint brings you a new way to colour your lips with its innovative lip pen format!  It’s precise applicator nib allows you to trace the contours of your lips and the flat side of the nib enables you to easily colour in the wider fleshy area of your lips. As the formula is water based, the end result is lightweight colour which won’t transfer.  Lipfinity Lip Tint will stay on your lip for 2-3 hours without the need for reapplication. Because the colours are infused into your lips, it won’t transfer off either and gives you kiss-proof colour.

How To Use:

The Lipfinity Lip Tint applicator works much in the same way as a felt tipped pen. Trace the outer line of the lips with the precise applicator tip and use the flat side of the nib to colour in the wider fleshy part of the lips.

I had previously seen Revlon and Maybelline lip tints online, but they were not available in India. One day while walking through the makeup section of Lifestyle, my sister and I saw this lip tint at the Max Factor counter. She saw all the colours and selected the 06 shade, the name of which I do not know. It looked nice on the hand too. The colour is a pretty berry kind of a colour.

The packaging is like a fat sketch pen like.  It has kind of a double cap. I guess that prevents the marker from drying up too soon. Its easy to open and close the pen.  The tip is extremely fat which is supposed to make the application easy. Personally, I feel that this marker goes on too patchy on the lips. Its not a uniform colour. Also, it is definitely long lasting. It stays around 5 hours easily, but the one problem with it is that when you drink something, the colour sort of runs, which makes the centre part of the lip less coloured than the outer parts. I don’t like this fact, but does this thing stay!  One day, my sister and I were at MAC and she wanted to try some lip stuff.  I can’t tell you how surprised the MAC SA was. He gave her tissues and MAC make up remover, but this lip tint just wouldn’t come off.  He was also surprised and asked her what she had on her lips. Finally, after a lot of rubbing, the lip tint came off, but it did require some effort.

The only problem I find with this product is that its too patchy and once it starts drying up, it becomes even more difficult to apply.  Also, the price is too high for a product that goes on patchy. I think only people with really healthy lips should give it a try. Others with chapped lips and sensitive lips should pass this product because it will just increase the appearance of lines no matter how you apply it.

• Only people with healthy lips can pull this off.

No, I now stay vary of lip tints.
