Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum Review
Hello Ladies,
Hope you all are doing fantastic! The weekend is just around the corner!! And Dubai summers are getting worst-er with each passing day! Today I am reviewing yet another Maxfactor foundation, this brand has got me hooked!! SERIOUSLY! I am reviewing the Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum.
Product Claims :
The silky-soft fluid formula gives effortless coverage of fine lines and wrinkles whilst the the serum with SPF 15 works to protect against daily UV damage. The result? A beautiful finish today. A naturally flawless skin for tomorrow.
Shades :
7 shades available. Find the perfect shade to match your natural skin-tone and enjoy flawless looking skin today and beautiful looking skin tomorrow. Mine is Natural 50
Application Tips :
Preparing your skin before applying a foundation is key to the final look. So gently exfoliate regularly to help keep skin looking and feeling young.
First apply a light layer of new Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum with SPF 15 and over the T –zone. It’s a good idea to warm your fingers before applying as this helps melt the foundation to the skin.
If you have areas of concern like dilated capillaries, blood spots or pigmentation – take an eyeliner brush and target those areas – you’ll cover them now but also pinpoint them with the serum with SPF 15 to help protect those areas over time.
Price, Quantity and Availability :
Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum is priced between 80-100 AED, and it is available at all Maxfactor counters across the region. You get 30ml of the product.
Packaging :
Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum comes in a pump plastic bottle.
My Thoughts On The Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum :
Maxfactor has become one of my favorite drugstore brands. I mean I have been loving their lipsticks and lip liners and my first experiences with their foundation which I reviewed HERE was pleasant enough to encourage me to go ahead and try their Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum. What I read about this one was this is basically one of the best drugstore foundations till date, which has the right pigment, coverage and just the right staying power. Also I heard that Maxfactor foundations have the right blend of yellow and pink tones, all these were proved almost right with the Maxfactor Xperience Weightless Foundation which I reviewed HERE. Hence I had high hopes with this one too. Read on to find if it lived up to the expectation!!
Although this one is recommended for ladies above 30 years of age, and my Mother uses it daily, I found no harm using it myself but then I do not use it very frequently.
Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum has a thick consistency. Very velvety though. I have a trick to apply it, since it is so luxuriously thick I like to apply it little by little thus building up the coverage, I prefer my fingers to apply it and then use a stippling blush to stipple it in.
The shade Natural 50 is my summer shade, it has the right undertones for my skintone.
See the swatches,
The formula is a blend of foundation and serum, which clearly seems a WINNER, since it doesn’t really settle in fine lines and also does a pretty job with smoothening out the skin.
Here’s a summary for the product, Mum has contributed to a larger extent ,
What’s to LOVE about the Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum :
• Price and Quantity
• Packaging. Easy, non messy and ensure ZERO wastage. ( I LOVE pumps for my foundations)
• Has a soothing mild sandal woody, fruity scent!
• Smooth and creamy
• Has a matte finish
• Full coverage
• Emollient. Blends gorgeously into the skin
• Fills up pores (the SERUM works)
• Doesn’t settle in the fine lines
• Works for all skin types
• It makes the skin appear healthy and radiant
• On my combination skin and in the UAE summers, it stayed on for around 8-9 hours which is pretty decent whereas my Mother claimed to have it on, for a little longer since her outdoor routines are not as vigorous as mine
• It kept shine away from my T zone and controlled oil on Mum’s super oily skin
• You would get your skintone match easily with it, since it has a nice mix of medium, light and dark shades.
• Has SPF 15 so that little bit for sun protection
• Has some feel good ingredients for your skin
• Mom says that the claims of smoothening out the skin and making it balanced is very true with this one.
• Doesn’t cake , melt or smudge
• Doesn’t transfer onto the tissues and blotting sheets
• You can skip concealer with this one
• Doesn’t photography ghostly
What’s to HATE about the Maxfactor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum :
Although it has a mix of skin tone shades, I would say some of us would still have problems getting the right one, I wish they incorporated more shades.
Final Verdict :
Mum totally loves this one, and I am also quite satisfied with the product, so I would definitely recommend it to you guys. I find this to me a very promising product for women hyped with ANTI AGING stuff. It definitely deserves a try.

Nice nice…read about this foundation a couple of places…so many pros ..probably i shuld get it 😛
its a nice foundation shanaiia 🙂
i am in between this one and max factor experience. which one should i get? (i am 18 years old and need full coverage)
go for this one, I think you would love this.. 🙂 the experience is not bad too
is it ok to use daily even if im not over 30?
does it cover pimples and marks?
yea….kind off..i mean …i dont use it daily….but very few times when I feel like..since i am just 21…….. bt there is no harm…. and it covers pimples and marks, if they are severe u need a concealer.. 🙂
i just got the max factor lasting performance, and i am very disappointed because it doesnt cover much. I was wondering if the experience is going to cover everything.
goodness..i hve never tried that… 🙁 …i cn tell u about the once i hve been using or used.. 🙂 it depends on how severe coverage you need?
i have a few pimples and marks, they are not very severe. But i need to cover them 🙂 what foundation should i try?
if you are on a budget go for http://uae.makeupandbeauty.com/maxfactor-miracle-touch-liquid-illusion-foundation-creamy-ivory-40-review-photos/
OR try the elixir and experience at store, it shall suffice your coverage needs.
if you have combination skin type..it has full coverage..if you aint on a budget ..try the Illamasqua skin base!! I would be reviewing it in the coming days, MAC makes some decent ones too. 🙂
thank you
