TOP TIPS FOR HOW TO APPLY

• If you haven’t used liquid eyeliner before, use a kohl pencil to draw an outline on your eyelid for you to follow.
• Tilt your head back at a slight angle, and steady your hand on a flat surface (your jaw bone is good) to apply the eyeliner.
• Lifting your eyelid taught, apply the eyeliner in a continuous line from inner to outer corner.
• For a striking look, finish with a flick of eyeliner from the outer corner of your eye.

My experience with MaxFactor Color X-Pert Waterproof Eyeliner – Metallic Lilac

I have lots of bluish eyes pencils and wanted a different color this time. Lots of brands have come with purple as a shade and I immediately fell in love with this shade as I tried it on. This range is available in four different shades namely:
• 01 Deep Black (glossy black)
• 02 Anthracite Metallic (dark metallic gray)
• 03 Lilac Metallic (metallic blue, deep purple)
• 04 Turquoise Metallic (metallic dark turquoise)

It comes with a black cap and the bottom is transparent so you see the respective shade. It’s quite a sleek and handy tube, slips in your makeup pouch easily. The applicator is awesome. Fortunately the felt tip makes the eyeliner very easy to apply quickly and more conveniently. And personally, I feel felt tips can be easily worked with, also it’s little flexible which doesn’t bother beginners in liner much.

The pigmentation is very good; the color is visible in just one glide. About the shade 03 Lilac Metallic, it is a lovely purple shade with shimmers in it. The color has metallic luster like vinyl finish which is seen after the eye liner dries up. Drying time is also quick so no worries of transferring on the eyelids.

True to its claims, it is an absolutely waterproof liner. You can go swimming with it and it still stays up. But if you tend to rub it to take off it, will break and peel into pieces. And lastly, the removal part is bothersome, it definitely requires a good makeup remover. and it peels into pieces while removing.

All in all, I am very pleased with these eyeliners. The colors are intense, waterproof and they are easy to work with and one swipe is enough.

Would I repurchase Maxfactor color x-pert waterproof eyeliner?
Yes, I would definitely buy the rest of the shades. I like such eyeliners, they add something special to your eye makeup, colorful but not too bright and glittery. The formula is not runny but dries quickly. I would suggest shaking the bottle well if you haven’t used it for a while. Overall I like the  appearance of the liner. It is for you if … you’re looking for a good quality liquid eyeliner that is also waterproof.
