Today my review will be on the Maxfactor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in ‘14 Brown n Nude’. I have always been a fan of matte lipsticks, lip creams, liptints and stuff. I do not really prefer glossy and shiny lipsticks. This time I found love with using lip liners on the lips instead of a lipstick after watching a video and I hence went in search of the best and the creamiest lip liners in the brands I find here.
I was looking for a Lip Pencil in a very nude shade so that it looks very natural and easy on the lips. The SA at Kathiawar helped me find a nude Lip Pencil from Maxfactor. I instantly fell in love with it. Let’s see why.
Price: 405/- INR
Watch any make-up artist apply lipstick and you’ll notice they always start with a great lipliner to shape and define the lips. There really is no better way to get that ‘precise’ look the professionals create in seconds. Luckily, this lipliner has the perfect texture for easy application – firm enough to quickly and neatly draw around your lips yet soft enough to be gentle on the surrounding skin.
Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner gives your lips the shape they need to look fuller and more perfect before applying yourLasting Colour lipstick – chose a colour one shade lighter than your lipstick for a high fashion finish.
The Maxfactor Colour Elixir Lip Liner is a very creamy Lip Liner. It glides very easily on the lips and has awesome pigmentation. It stays for about 5-6 hours on the lips. I spread it on my lips for a nude colour rather than lining my lips with it after wearing a lipstick. This shade looks so natural on my lips giving that subtle hint of peach colour which I can wear every day. It looks very beautiful if you apply a sheer gloss over it. You can also team it up with a darker shade Lip Liner and add depth to your lips if you find using just this boring.
It might not be too moisturising for the lips, so you would need some lip balm underneath if you feel it is too drying on the lips. It is definitely not as drying as most Lip Liners but Lip Liners are not really meant to be moisturising so that can’t be a con.
There are about 8 shades in this ranging from nudes to pinks to browns to mauves to bold reds. The price is a little bothering for a Lip Liner. My mom always has this *jaw-drop* whenever she comes shopping with me and sees me spend so much on cosmetics and for this she didn’t believe Lip Liners costed so much! 😛 Poor mommie doesn’t know much about MAC’s price range! 😛
I also wasn’t heart broken while sharpening the pencil, there wasn’t much of product wastage!
