I have so high on compacts and foundations, that I picked up the Deborah one, the Colorbar lifting and filling one and then this one. This one is more of a heavy duty foundation as the name suggests and like most International brands, they do not have colors for Indian skin tones. This shade in bronze is the darkest in the collection (caramel I could not find here) 😛 and the other pinky but still the dark shade was golden. I chose to stick with this as I had tried it on the face at the counter.

This comes in a classic glass bottle with a lock-able pump. I love it a lot but you seriously do not want to drop the bottle! The pimp twists open when you want to dispense which makes it super good for travel if you would like to carry this heavy bottle in your kit. The pump is sturdy and very good unlike the Colorbar ones 😛 Anyway,the color is warm but still has some pink and white tonality to it which kind of puts me off sometimes. It is still pretty much on the warm side and you need a very very less amount to blend evenly.

Now coming to the texture, the texture is thick, since it works as a primer, concealer and foundation. Yes it does not budge once it goes on so you do not need a primer. Tall but true claims. Then since it is thick this will cover pigmentation and other minor skin issues like slight dark circles or pigmentation around the mouth if you go dab dab.Scars will not be taken care of but this will cover open pores to an extent.The dark circles would work well if you use a slight orange concealer underneath, or else this could make your dark circles look grey.

As a foundation, this is medium to heavy coverage.For me it works better when blended and used almost like a BB cream.When I apply it heavily even with a stippling brush, this looks cakey and has this slight whitish cast to it, not so much but yes it does not photograph well.So since this is heavy and thick coverage, take your time to blend it.The ashy tone is not much honestly but since the color is not a good match, you could make the mistake of making it look too heavy.

The lasting power is great staying power. This does not melt or smudge easily which I love about it.Without a setting compact powder, it lasts 5 plus hours.With powder it will be much more. The finish is matte, well almost, no it is not dewy.The shine is controlled upto 6 hours with a powder on top.

Basically, it is a medium to heavy feel foundation,covers pores and slight imperfections, does not budge or melt, controls oil for long hours and also does not need a primer underneath like they claim.Comes with an SPF too! This slightly oxidizes after 3-4 hours, but very slightly. This has less shade selections and this is the darkest in the lot.This is my party or night wear foundation, you can skip wearing this during the day unless used like a BB cream lightly. Recommended to 25+ who like heavy and long lasting foundations.Most skin types will like it.
