I have a soft corner for these long lasting lipsticks that set to a smudge proof dry finish. They come with a gloss or a balm, to be used over the matte dry coat. To be honest the matte dry coat is almost like a nail polish and sticks to the lips like there is no tomorrow.But if used wisely and if you keep your lips in check, these can be really long lasting. Another tip I can give you about these long lasting extra lasting or prolong wear lip colors is that choose lighter nude colors, even if they rub off or flake no one would know. But if you choose darker shades then the color that rubs off with food looks yuck, anyway I have a peachy pinky nude shade which can be worn really long and is a great shade for office.Plus this is more of an MLBB shade so even if it wears off, no one would know 😛

The color comes in a thick texture which sets to a dry smudge proof finish in 60 seconds. Post the color application you need to apply the clear balm on top.I would say keep the coat of balm to minimal, make it a simple fine layer of balm just to keep lips moisturised. It is impossible to use the thick color without a balm, your lips would be stiff as a board.

This particular color is a nude peachy pinky shade with a tiny bit of pearl to it. There is no shimmer but it is not matte either, it has a pearly sheen to it. Once you apply the balm, it looks very beautiful and MLBB, this is perfect for a nude peachy lip. This color actually matches my natural lip color exactly. At first I thought this would wash me out, but it did not. If you are darker or yellow toned,then skip this.If you pair it right with a light nude blush like NYX nutmeg, this could work beautiful as nude makeup.

Coming to the performance, the color last throughout the day, snacks meal tea! I wore it at 12 and till 5 pm the color was intact.I would not know any fading as the color is light which is the best part. For darker shades, with meals some part of the color chips off leaving your lips naked at some points.But this one can be worn carefree.So yes it is long lasting, you can count on this color for 5 plus hours if you wear it to office. Avoid greasy food which will make the color fade and rub off as the grease would work as a remover for the paint. You can keep touching up the clear balm if you need. Any other gloss or balm on top of this does not work honestly..

Most of us have a love-hate relationship with these kind of products but for the beautiful color, I give it a 4/5.
