So, here comes a review for you all. I have already reviewed the shades Beaming Violet, Striking Orange and Vivid Peach. Here comes the review on the final shade from this range, Pink Alert. My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Bright Out Loud Pink Alert:
This lip balm comes in a pretty, hot pink plastic tube that has funky neon-ish green fonts printed on it. It bears the brand’s tagline and range name on it, just like other baby lips. There is the sticker at the base of the lip balm tube indicating the shade name. The body is already color-coded and easy to spot. The long and slender plastic tube fits anywhere in my makeup pouch or in my pocket. Those Candy Wow Crayons from Maybelline were a little difficult to carry in the pocket due to their jumbo size while these are very easy to carry.
Once you open the cap, you will see the beautiful hot pink colored lip balm inside. It has the regular twist-up mechanism that works pretty smoothly. The lip balm bullet is rounded in shape and has a slanted tip that helps to give précised application. The cap of the lip balm tube fits tightly, making an audible click sound, which makes it fit for travel purposes. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.
The shade “Pink Alert” is a bright pink colored lip balm. It is a perfect girly pink shade. It looks so beautiful on the lips and brightens up my face instantly. This lip balm almost looks like a beautiful pink lipstick with a sheer finish. It is the perfect shade for the summers. It adds a nice glow to the entire look. The pigmentation of the lip balm is semi-opaque but easily buildable. The color looks so pretty on the lips. I have mild pigmentation on my lips and this color looks great on my lips. It covers all the pigmentation of my lips without getting patchy. It has very faint fragrance that is non-bothering and barely noticeable.
The texture of the lip balm is great. It is very smooth and creamy. It is almost buttery smooth but still the bullet is firm enough that it never breaks while gliding on the lips. The lip balm looks nice and juicy on the lips. The glossy sheen looks very pretty on the lips. It has menthol extract that gives an instant cooling and soothing sensation to the lips. These lip balms are non-sticky and feel comfortable on the lips. It never feels heavy on the lips even after layering. The lip balm comes with SPF-13 that helps to keep the lips protected from harsh sun rays, making this lip balm fit to be used under the sun. It perfectly heals my dry and chapped lips. This lip balm does its job very well. My lips stay moisturized and hydrated for pretty long even after using this lip balm. The color clings to the dry portions of the lips and highlights them a little.
The lasting power of the lip balm is somewhere around 5-6 hours on my lips without having anything. In the meantime, it loses its glossy sheen but the color stays on my lips all the time. My lips stay properly hydrated and nourished with this lip balm. But, it definitely requires reapplication after a full meal.
Overall, this lip balm has completely fulfilled all my expectations that I had from a lip balm and it works as a sheer lipstick as well.
