My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Blackberry:
The packaging of these lip balms is super cute. The Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Blackberry comes in a cardboard outer packaging, which bears the entire product-related information. The lip balm comes in the form of a cute, red colored chubby plastic crayon type packaging with contrasting yellow colored fonts all over it. The packaging is color-coded like all other baby lips, which helps to spot the shade easily. It looks attractive and girly. The lip balm has a twist up mechanism, which works pretty smoothly.
I love this crayon type packaging very much. The tube is quite bigger than other baby lips because of which I am not able to carry it in my pocket. The bullet has a rounded tip, which facilitates an easier application. Overall, I love the packaging, except for the fact that this is not really a pocket-friendly product.
The shade “Blackberry” is a plum kind of shade, which will look flattering on Indian skin tones. The lip balm provides a soft glossy sheen to the lips; it is free from shimmers. The pigmentation of the lip balm is quite decent. The color shows nicely on the lips in just one swipe. It provides a nice and fresh pop of color to the lips. I sometimes skip using a lipstick when I use this one. The lip balm has a sweet candy like fragrance, which I love.
The texture of the lip balm is thick, smooth and creamy. It glides like a dream on the lips. It is non-sticky and feels comfortable on the lips and perfectly heals my dry lips. The formula is very moisturising and nourishing on the lips. My lips feel super soft almost immediately after application and the softness stays all day long. The lip balm also works well in dry, cold weathers. My lips stay moisturised and hydrated for a pretty long time after using this lip balm. However, it does not come with an SPF, which is a downside. But, I really love the color and formula.
The color stays on my lips for some 3-4 hours and it keeps my lips hydrated for more than six hours. But, the 12-hour moisture claim is too far-fetched. In the meantime, it loses its glossy sheen, but the color stays on my lips for long. My lips feel nice and hydrated with this lip balm. Overall, it fulfils all my expectations, which I had from a lip balm.
