Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach Review

Hi people!

Winter and wedding seasons are here, and that means shopping for shopaholics like me. We all want to look our best from top to bottom and do our best to achieve it. Well I’ll concentrate on one part at a time, starting with lips. Maybelline has recently launched a new category of Baby Lips called “Candy Wow”. Don’t you find the packaging of the product adorable? It offers a variety of colours inspired by candy colours and has a little glossy finish. I was in a beauty store for eyeliner hunting (believe me, you always need eyeliners) when I came across this cute little thing at the Maybelline counter. They didn’t have many shades to choose from at that time, so I took the Peach one. Let’s begin its review.

My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach:

Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach Review

I am a big fan of Baby Lips lip balms and tinted lip balms are the new in, I mean they keep your lip moisturized and provide a hint of colour along with it. Same goes with this product. It gives a nice pinch of pinkish peach hue to the lips along with all the lip balm benefits. It glides on smoothly and is easy to use.

The crayon shape is in a way easy to use compared to the old cylindrical lip balm tube. I am a college student who doesn’t like wearing makeup to college, but I think I can use this for college as well. As the shade is light, it can be worn daily. It also has this light shimmer particles in it (doesn’t look tacky, don’t worry!). About the staying power of the balm, it doesn’t stay on for long (such a disappointment).

One will have to keep touching up if you want to wear it for a long day. The colour and the moisture disappears after 2-3 hours. Also the quantity offered is less than the Baby Lips, that too for a greater price. It also has this sweet smell, but it doesn’t last for long either. It does make the lips soft but as said it cannot be used for a long time in one go. You will have to keep touching up.

Pros of Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach:

• Easy to use
• Travel friendly
• Nice colour or tint
• Attractive, cute crayon style packaging
• Lots of colours to choose from
• Sweet smell
• Makes the lips soft

Cons of Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach:

• Doesn’t stay on for long
• Less quantity offered for the price
• Priced a bit higher than Baby Lips and even other lip balms
• The sweet smell doesn’t last for long

IMBB Rating:
2/5

Verdict:
It’s an okay-okay kind of lip balm. It doesn’t stay on for long, and is a bit expensive for the quantity it offers. There are so many better options available in the market at lesser price, which are way better. I will not repurchase this balm. Thanks but no thanks; I’ll stick to my Baby Lips balm.

  1. I also love baby lips but didn’t buy a single one from this range due to all the reasons you have mentioned. Glad, I didnt.

    1. You should try one over chapped lips..it works great..and pigmentation is cool..i have fair complexion i use one in orange shade and trust me it looks damn good..even my mom bought one as she liked mine..if ur complexion is somewhere medium to dusky then cherry n raspberry too could work..But according to me Peach would only suite fair complexion.. though it’s just my opinion..you can always experiment
