I always love my huge collection of Baby Lips and this time I picked all the four shades. Now, I am going to share my views on the shade ‘Gummy Grape’. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Color Candy Rush Lip Balm Gummy Grape:

Maybelline Baby Lips Color Candy Rush Lip Balm comes in a nice color-coded funky outer paper packaging and the actual tubes have four different shades, like Gummy Grape has a nice light lilac shade with a fuchsia pink cap and name detailing with that same color. It looks super cute. This range looks like their original style which I love this most rather than their new packaging. The tube is sturdy and travel-friendly as well and the twist-up mechanism works smoothly.

This range has 4 shades and this Gummy Grape is a pretty bright pink shade, like a pop-up pink lip balm. It looks super cute and will go with all the skin tones. I love such pink lip balm and it is also decently pigmented that can hide light lip pigmentation but can’t properly hide dark pigmented lips. But, this entire range is a sheer color lip balm and it is the darkest and pigmented shade in this range. Also, it doesn’t have any shimmers. Though it’s not a unique shade because Maybelline already have such pink lip balms but it looks good for a regular outing or if you are a student, it will add a nice tint color to your lips that’s perfect for college.

This lip balm has a nice soft smooth texture that glides easily on the lips. It looks very nice and smooth on lips. The color spreads evenly and this texture feels very light as well. It is a non-sticky, non-greasy lip balm that makes lips smooth and healthy. The color doesn’t look patchy. It feels very comfortable on my lips. It never highlights dry patches as well.

This new range has a different smell and like the name Gummy Grape, it has that yummiest smell of bubble gum that I love a lot. I think it will suit to all. It is a bit strong that you can smell it perfectly and lasts for a good amount of time on the lips. It feels so lovely that I can’t express.

This lip balm provides an instant relief to dry lips and cures the rough chapped texture. Like all other old Baby Lips, it gives that desired nourishment to lips which can hide dryness and also repair my lips well. It makes lips smoother and softer which last long. I am a person with super dry lips, so I have to take care of my lips and it works really well on me.

Apart from the hydration, lip balm provides a nice glossy tinted finish to lips which make lips cute and pretty. Like its name, it is a nice candy rush balm that makes the lips cute like candy, feels yummy and also has a nice sweet taste like candy. No, I didn’t eat it but I have a habit to lick my lips sometimes, so it actually tastes sweet which is not bad at all. Also, it contains SPF 20 which protects my lips from sun rays and prevents them from darkening.

As a lip balm, it does transfer but softness last long and the color keeps lips pink throughout the day. Though it claimed to stay for 16 hours, it stays around for 5-6 hours but after a few hours, the glossy look starts to fade which is pretty common. Also, it can’t survive meals but it keeps the lips soft even after the tint fades away. So, I can say that the softness lasts really long and I can easily reapply the balm. It also leaves a pink stain behind which I need to wipe off though. Otherwise, color doesn’t settle into fine lines or crease.

Overall, it is a very cute shade for all that looks beautiful on lips and it provides good hydration as well. Maybelline Baby Lips never disappointed me and like that, I also love this new range. Only, this time they can include some new shades or some fun shades as I wanted to try something different. But, overall, at this affordable price rate, it is a good lip balm with some yummy smell.
