My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Intense Care Lip Balm:
I have really dry lips and especially in the winters my lips gets flaky and while I was on a hunt for lip balms, Baby Lips attracted me and I decided to buy the colourless ones and ended up buying this lip balm. The lip balm comes in a bright yellow twist up packaging and has a transparent cap with pink-red fonts. The lip balm is sealed and I love the fact that, it is packaged effectively. The cap shuts with a click and doesn’t open in between and thus, it is travel-friendly. The cap is made of a good sturdy plastic and is not prone to breakage with a fall.
The lip balm bullet is white in colour and when applied on the lips, it is transparent. It smells like sweet almonds or none at all. The fragrance doesn’t stay long and vanishes instantly. When applied on the lips, it imparts a shine to the lips and looks similar to the look of Vaseline. The lip balm feels like a layer on the lips and you can feel the greasy kind of feel when you press your lips.
The lip balm takes a while to absorb and stays shiny for around 1 hour and then the lips feel greasy and I am not a fan of it. And, this con doesn’t make it a good base for lipsticks or you need to wait for an hour to apply the lipstick; if followed, the lipstick doesn’t stick onto the lips. Even when applied over the lipstick, it makes the lipstick go away or makes it turn glossy and I am not a fan of this.
The lip balm stays for long for almost 5-6 hours and nourishes the lips continuously. The lip balm moisturises the lips effectively. Like the name suggests, it provides intense care to the lips and is a perfect choice for winters. It soothes the dry lips and also treats the dry flakes on the lips. It also makes the lips soft and smooth. For a week after using this lip balm, my lips have turned less dry and nourished.
I do not have to exfoliate the lips as often as I had to! It also imparts a healthy glow to the lips and makes it look pink and for someone like me who has pigmented lips this is a boon! Except that it adds a glossy effect, the lip balm provides intense nourishment to my lips and I absolutely love this lip balm. The Lip balm is also enriched with SPF 20 and protects the lips from harmful UV rays!
