Today, I am reviewing the other shade from the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush Blush. This shade is the 030 – Pop of Peach. Read on to find out how the Pop of Peach fared.
Get a sheer, just-pinched baby cheek flush. In an instant.
Why You’ll Love It:
Fresh, tinted creamy-gel formula smooths on for a hint of color that looks natural, never overdone. Unique applicator allows for easy and mess-free application. Portable packaging is easy to throw in your bag and take on-the-go. Non-comedogenic.
For Best Results:Use alone or over makeup: Smooth directly onto cheeks in upward motion for subtle hint of color.
My Experience with Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush in Pop of Peach:
Packaging: The blush comes in a very cute plastic tub format with a fish-fin like top in a peachy-coral color. You need to unscrew the top to reveal the blush which is in a dome-like format.
The fin can be used as a handle to hold while applying the blush. The packaging actually reminds me of the EOS balms. The packaging is very cute and will surely appeal to customers, especially young girls.
Color and Pigmentation: Pop of Peach is a pinkish peach shade with no visible shimmer. The blush is very sheer in its pigmentation and you will need a few swipes for the color to show up. In my opinion, this blush is best suited for pale/fair skin tones as it will not show up on darker skin tones. Honestly, when blended and sheered out, Pop of Peach doesn’t look much different from the other shade – Pinking of You.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: Maybelline describes the texture of this blush as creamy, gel-like. I find it to be more like a balm – slightly oily and sticky on the skin. The positive side of this kind of texture is that it is pretty easy to blend, but you need to be careful to not blend too much or the color itself will disappear.
The finish is a dewy one with subtle sheen. The blush looks nice and adds a slight flush to the cheeks, but this is not the best option for those with oily skin as it will end up looking quite oily on the skin. I have combination skin and my cheeks are slightly dry this time of the year.
However, even on me, this blush ends up looking oily after a few hours. Whatever little pigmentation I get out this blush lasts on me for around 4 hours or so.
Pros of Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush in Pop of Peach:
- Subtle peachy-pink shade.
- Nice dewy finish.
- Easily blendable.
- Adds a nice flush and radiance to the face.
- Adorable packaging.
Cons of Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush in Pop of Peach:
- Sheer pigmentation will not show up on darker skin tones.
- Will not suit oily skin.
- Pretty average lasting power.
Would I Repurchase Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush in Pop of Peach?
I would not recommend this blush as there are much better blushes in the market. But, the packaging is too cute and if you like to collect cute-looking cosmetics, you may as well as buy this one. I will not repurchase this one.
