Maybelline Babyskin Instant Fatigue Blur Cream Cool Rose Review

Hola!

I’m back from an amazing Euro trip and this was my first purchase from the streets of Lucerne, Switzerland. Sigh!Even the name reminds me of the amazing weather and the stroll across the lake. We actually rented bicycles and went around exploring the city when I saw these amazing drugstore brands through the glass of the stores. Baby Skin range of Maybelline looks so adorable, I picked both the Cool Rose and Warm Apricot from the Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur Range. I started using it the same night by the way and it gently fills in enlarged pores, fine lines as well as creating a silky, soft canvas for applying foundation on top of, not to mention it also helps to prolong make-up wear. I have used Benefit Professional and been a fan of it since a long long time but this looked quite alluringsss in terms of the price.

My take on Maybelline Babyskin Instant Fatigue Blur Cream Cool Rose:

I have got the warm apricot shade too. Will review it next for all of you to decide which one to pick or even pick anyone of it at all.The tube is really small.

I must agree this is a different primer all together, it isn’t as silicone-laden as the original but it does work quite nicely for enlarged pores. The texture is more liquid based, Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur in Cool Rose is really thin in texture and feels more like a lotion opposed to the thicker, creamy consistency of the original. The texture I can deal with, in-fact I rather like that it is cooling, easily absorbed and a little goes a long way but the fragrance is quite strong( almost like applying a nailpaint remover)within this version that I worry it will cause sensitive skins to react. It did not quite live upto its claims- even skin tone, a fresh complexion that is perked up and an even skin texture. It did mattify the skin but nothing more than that.

Pros of Maybelline Babyskin Instant Fatigue Blur Cream Cool Rose:

  • Texture is very very light.
  • Mattifies the skin properly.
  • Works fine as a primer and works as a good base for the foundation.
  • Does not come in one white base, in 2 colors – warm apricot and cool rose.

Cons of Maybelline Babyskin Instant Fatigue Blur Cream Cool Rose:

  • Does not make the skin radiant.
  • Does not even out the skin tone.
  • Strong fragrance which is not even an aroma.
  • No major difference after application.
  • Might be more suitable for the fairer skin which is obvious from the name of the shade but I did not find any major change as such.

  1. Oh I though all Maybelline baby products were good. I have no regret that it’s not available here. 🙂
