Warm hugs to fellow IMBBians!!!

We all have a love of our life and mine happens to be two! Black kajals and blushes! 😀 I was not surprised to see this blusher in the gift basket from my sister. So, let’s review it.

My Experience with Maybelline Coffee Cake Dream Bouncy Blush:

Maybelline Coffee Cake Dream Bouncy Blush Review

I have used Maybelline Blush from the ‘Dream’ range and I love the healthy sheen and flush it imparts. I use it mostly during dry days of summer because it makes my face look dewy against dull and dry faces of people around me. So, you can imagine my excitement when I received blush from the same brand and couldn’t wait to flaunt it on my cheeks. But sadly, my euphoria was short lived because of several reasons:

It’s NOT bouncy!
Bouncy means when something is elastic and bounces back into its original shape, but this product deforms into a shapeless dome after usage!

It’s NOT a blush!
Don’t buy this product with the dream of adding that soft sheen and tint to your cheeks. It’s more of a warm toned highlighter.

One sweep is NOT enough!
In fact, multiple sweeps are also not enough. I had to dig into the product to get decent amount and color to take pictures for this post.

Bit too subtle!
Might not even show on dark skinned beauties.

Maybelline Coffee Cake Dream Bouncy Blush Review

There are 10 shades to choose from and they offer a wide range for all skin tones. The texture is super creamy and blends beautifully. Packaging is not an eye candy, but serves the purpose as it has a clear plastic cap on top which makes it easy to locate on dresser. Also, this product stays put on face for at least 6-8 hours. So, that’s a pro! But again, not commendable.

Maybelline Coffee Cake Dream Bouncy Blush Review

$7.99 is bit too much for this product. I am not sure about other shades, but this shade is not for me especially because I am more into blushes than highlighters. Also, the quantity is not enough for the amount paid and provided how much one needs to use this product at a time to make it visible on face, I think it’s a total dud!

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Coffee Cake Dream Bouncy Blush?

No! Because it is not a blush and would ask others to buy it only if they want a shimmery, dull bronzer because ‘blush’ is a deceiving description for this product.
