Hi beauties!
I have recently shopped some new stuff from Maybelline and I totally love all of the things. The palette I am going to talk about has a special 3D effect top coat shade which tempted me a lot and finally I picked this ‘Rose Quartz Pink’ shade. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Quartz Pink:

packaging

Packaging: The eyeshadow palette comes in a small cardboard box. All the details are nicely described on the box and there are some helpful instructions also. It comes with a tiny dual ended sponge applicator which I don’t prefer to use. But the small end works nicely to apply eye shadows on the inner corner of eyes. I just love this pretty packaging. And for its tiny size, it is so easy to carry around anywhere.

palette and applicator

Shade: This range has four shade options and I chose this ‘rose quartz pink’ for this summer season. One palette contains five shades which is really good to create different eye looks. It has four normal shades and one glittery top coat shade. Now let’s talk about the individual shades.

palette

Shade A: It is a nice creamy beige shade with microshimmers. It acts as a highlighting shade and it looks bright on eyes. This shade is super pigmented.
Shade B: It is light rose brown shade with a pink undertone. I can call it a pinky brown shade which works great as a base color. This color looks soft and natural on eyes. It also contains micro pink shimmers in it. This particular shade is little less pigmented than rest of the shades. It looks quite different on eyes than in the palette.
Shade C: It is a darker shade of copper brown with some pink shimmers in it. It works nicely to define crease and can also be used on the outer corners of eyes. This is another pigmented shade which gives a much defined look to my eyes.
Shade D: It is the darkest shade in this palette. It’s a dark olive brown shade which looks so bold on eyes. I prefer to use this at the outer corner of my eyes and it gives a bold smoky look. Pigmentation is really good and it also contains microshimmers.
Shade E: This is my most favorite shade among all. It is a gorgeous rose pink shade with lots of visible multicolor glitter in it. This top coat shade absolutely looks stunning on eyes and gives a nice 3D effect to my eyes. This shade is highly pigmented. It’s a perfect shade for summer.

swatch

Quality and texture: Texture is soft smooth which feels light on eyes. The shades are easy to blend and never look patchy or chalky. The fine texture looks natural and shimmer doesn’t look overpowering. Shade E is not for you if you don’t like glittery shades but I absolutely love the glittery shiny effect of this. All the four shade don’t have any fall out issue except the glittery pink one, as it contains noticeable glitters in it and during application it falls off a little. Since it becomes quite difficult to dust glitters off the skin, I prefer to do my eyes first and then rest of the face makeup.

Staying power: The shades stay on my eyes for almost 6 hours without a primer. So I feel it will stay better with primer. It doesn’t mess and it looks nice during this super hot summer. It doesn’t crease either and needs a makeup remover to remove the glittery shade.

Do I Recommend/Repurchase Maybelline Color Sensational Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Quartz Pink?
I will love to try some more palettes from this range. It is nice budget friendly eye shadow palette. You should try one of them. And this ‘Rose Quartz Pink’ has pretty wearable shades for all.

Conclusion: It is named rose pink but three of them look brown and only one is an exact rosy pink shade. So I expected more pink shades. But still I love this palette.
