My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Eyeshadow Palette – Sensuous Pink:
Packaging: The eyeshadow palette comes in a small cardboard box. All the details are nicely described on the box and there are some helpful instructions also. The actual box is small with a clear lid. It has a tiny dual ended sponge applicator which I don’t prefer to use. But, the small end works nicely to smudge the eye shadows on your lower lash line. I just love this pretty packaging. And for its tiny size, it is so easy to carry around.
Shade: The shade ‘Sensuous Pink’ contains wine pink shades and it has some beautiful shades in the range of pinks. One palette contains five shades which are really good to create different eye looks. It has four normal shades and one glittery top coat shade. All the shades are shimmery so, there is no matte shade. Now, let’s talk about the individual shades.
Shade A: It is a nice pink toned white shade with micro shimmers. It acts as a highlighting shade. Pigmentation is not so great. It needs more swipes to achieve the best results.
Shade B: It is a very pretty natural brown shade with fine shimmers. It acts as a nice base shade and helps to define my crease. This particular shade is decently pigmented and looks nice on the eyes.
Shade C: This is a super pretty shimmery dusky pink shade with a brown undertone. This soft natural shade looks so nice on the crease as well as on lids. I find it a less pigmented shade which again needs more swipes.
Shade D: It is the darkest shade in this palette and I picked this palette only for this super gorgeous dark wine shade. It is a very beautiful reddish wine shade with fine shimmers in it. I prefer to use this shade as an eye definer, and it is the highly pigmented shade in this palette.
Shade E: This shade is a nice light pink shade with some noticeable shimmers in it that makes it a beautiful top coat shade. It gives a nice 3D effect to my eyes. But, it is not that glittery like it is in the description. It is decently pigmented but, not so great on the eyes.
Quality and Texture: The texture is soft and smooth which feels light on eyes. The shades are easy to blend and never look patchy or chalky. The fine texture looks natural and shimmers never look overpowering. But, the shade E is not that shiny like their previous ‘Rose Quartz’ palette. It looks nice but, can’t provide that huge glittery 3D effect. This palette has medium pigmentation; A few shades are really good and a few are not that good. But, the formula is nice and never creases at all. Shades generally don’t fall out but, the top coat shade falls a bit during application. Otherwise, it never settles into fine lines and never irritated my eyes.
Staying Power: The shades stay on my eyes for almost 5-6 hours but, it needs an eye primer for it to last long. It doesn’t mess and doesn’t crease either. It is quite easy to remove the glitter. Overall, I love these pretty shades and it looks very nice on eyes, but wish it had a better pigmentation. But, it is a very affordable palette with 5 shades so, I am happy with it. This wine shade looks perfect in this party season.
