I had recently picked up a few lipsticks from Maybelline’s Inti-Matte N*de Collection (Raw Cocoa, Pretty Please, Just A Teaser). This range comprises of lipsticks from their “Powder Matte” and “Creamy Matte” collection. In this post, I am going to review Maybelline Colorsensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick in the shade “Chilli Nude,” which is a part of their Creamy Matte range. My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick Chili Nude:
The lipstick comes in the regular Maybelline Colorsensational packaging, but what makes it different from other colorsensational lipsticks is the matte n*de plastic cap, which is same for all the shades in the range and does not change according to the color family since it is from the “Inti-Matte N*des” collection. The lipstick tube is rectangular and comes wrapped in a cellophane paper, which has all the necessary details about the product. There is a color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube, which bears the shade name. The cap of the lipstick tube shuts securely making it purse friendly. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.
“Chilli N*de” is a beautiful terracotta brown shade. This is a pretty shade for all skin tones and it will flatter almost all skin tones. It brightens up my complexion. This is my favorite shade amongst all six lipsticks that I have picked from this range. It is not too bold or bright and looks subtle on the lips. The lipstick does not contain any sheen or shimmer. It sets to a soft, velvety, matte finish.
It looks creamy and slightly shiny initially and later sets to a pretty matte finish. The formula is decently pigmented. One swipe gives semi-opaque coverage and covers the pigmentation of the lips upto a great extent. I apply two coats to get that perfect and even color on the lips. The color spreads evenly on the lips and never gets patchy.
The texture of the lipstick is good. Most of the matte lipsticks are drying and they crack after some time, but the formula of this lipstick is buttery smooth. It goes pretty smoothly on the lips without causing any drag. The texture is soft and buttery smooth. Since, it is a matte lip color, it has the tendency to cling to the dry patches of the lips, which is common to almost every matte lip color out there. So, prior exfoliation and moisturization of the lips is mandatory.
This lipstick is so lightweight, it feels super comfortable on the lips. It does not have a thick or heavy texture. The lipstick is very moisturizing and nourishing. It is a non-drying matte lipstick. It keeps my lips hydrated and nourished and looks lovely on the lips and never gets patchy. The color stays in place and does not budge even after meals. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer a bit. I am happy with the fact that the formula is not heavily transferring.
The lipstick lasts for approximately 6 hours on my lips with a little fading. It survives light meals but does not survive heavy meals and fades away leaving a light stain behind. The lipstick stain can be taken off easily with a makeup remover. Overall, I love this lipstick.
