Maybelline has recently launched the Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick range with 10 beautiful shades. In this color range, they have two different textures, one is powder matte range while the other one is creamy matte range. I picked the shade from powder matte called “Toasted Brown”. So, read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick Toasted Brown:
Packaging: Like all other Maybelline lipsticks, the powder matte lipstick also comes in a same shaped tube with a nude brown matte finish cap and silver base. The name of the range is printed on a plastic wrap. Also, the lipstick comes with a color-coded sticker at the bottom of the tube, which indicates the shade. I have so many Maybelline lipsticks, and they all look similar in my tray, so it is really difficult to spot a particular shade from my stash. I wish they come with a new packaging. However, I find the lipstick to be absolutely travel-friendly.
Shade and Pigmentation: The shade “Toasted Brown” is a beautiful warm brunt brownish nude shade and absolutely perfect for my medium skin tone. On lighter skin tones, it will look like pure brown and on me, it looks like a very natural peachy brown and it will suit to deeper skin tones as well. It is a gorgeous everyday color. Also, the shade doesn’t have any shimmers in it, and it is a super pigmented color that needs only a couple of swipes for the perfect color pay off. The best part is that it can hide the pigmentation on the lips really well.
Texture and Quality: Like their original powder matte range, this lipstick has a beautiful ultra matte finish which looks stunning on lips. Though it provides a powdery matte finish, it has a super soft smooth texture that glides effortlessly on the lips. It provides an even looking finish and feels extremely lightweight on the lips. It is one of the most comfortable matte lipsticks that I have ever tried. It doesn’t feel patchy or dry on the lips. It never highlights my dry patches too. I absolutely love this non-drying matte finish.
It provides a decent hydration to the lips, but after a couple of hours, it makes my lips slightly dry. Still, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. The formula is perfect for those who feel uncomfortable to wear matte lipsticks just because of dryness. Also, this lipstick has a very nice smell in it that is good for all. Initially, it does transfer and it takes time to settles down properly. After 20-30 minutes, it doesn’t transfer that much. But still, the original range has better non transferable formula and the old shades last longer than this.
Staying Power: Now coming to the staying power, it stays good for around 5 hours with normal snacks. It can’t survive heavy meal and needs a reapplication after that. Though the reapplication never makes it patchy, it doesn’t look messy on the lips. Also, the shade is easy to remove with a makeup removing wipe. The lipstick never settles into fine lines or creases.
Overall: I love its formula and finish as it feels very comfortable on the lips and the shade is so beautiful. But somehow, I feel a bit different in the formula than the previous powder matte range, so they can name it something else. Otherwise, I like it.
