Another one of my favorite Maybelline lipsticks is the Pink of Me. The name itself is so cute,so girly and so tempting. Since I cannot carry shades that tend towards being purple this one is an excellent substitute for me. It has the perfect balance of pink and purple that suits me really well.

My take on Maybelline color sensational® lipcolor – Pink of Me:

The lippie comes in the standard brown colored case. The cap is transparent brown while the twister has a steel finish. The name is mentioned at the bottom of the case. The fragrance of the lipstick is like a sweet coconut candy. But I think it is standard across all their lippies.

The colour this lipstick is a plumy pink with slightly purple undertones. I being a cool toned femme can carry it off with ease. I am not sure it will suit all though. The texture of the lipstick is a little hard and tugs on initially. But once it is applied on the lips its feels buttery and smooth. The lipstick moisturizes the lips to a certain extent and covers dry lips.

It contains a little bit of shimmer which I can feel when I press my lips together. But thankfully the shimmer is not over the top. This shade can be a little frosty because of the silvery shimmer it contains. But again like I said the shimmer content is very moderate so it prevents the lipstick from being really frosty.
The staying power of this lipstick is 3 – 4 hours after which it leaves behind a pink stain on the lips. The shimmer does not stay behind neither does it spread around the lips which is a big plus for me. The lipstick is transferable and comes off easily with makeup remover.

Cons of Maybelline color sensational® lipcolor – Pink of Me

• The colour may not be suitable for all since it has a purple undertone
• Shimmer is a little abrasive and can be felt when lips are pressed together
• The texture is a little hard initially and tugs on the lips
