My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Powder Matte Lipstick Make Me Blush:

The packaging of the lipstick is nice and matte. It comes in the regular Maybelline packaging. The lipstick tube is rectangular and comes wrapped in a cellophane paper bearing the product description, ingredients list, etc. The tube has a mirror finish and it closes with a long colored plastic cap. Since this is a matte lipstick, the cap has a matte finish. The caps are color-coded according to the color family in which the respective shade falls in. As this one is a nude shade its cap is light brown in color. Also, there is a color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube which bears the shade name. The cap of the lipstick shuts securely making an audible click sound and ensures that it will not create any mess while carrying around. The brand’s tagline is printed on the lipstick tube in a simple black font. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.

The shade Make Me Blush is a beautiful peachy nude shade with slight coral hints. The color is so pretty and apt for fair skin tones. This is a gorgeous nude shade for fair skinned beauties. The lipstick does not contain any shimmers or chunky glitters. It is such a gorgeous everyday shade, which can be easily worn anywhere. It brightens up my face and looks sophisticated. It is a great choice for those who prefer soft and subtle shade. There are some gorgeous nude shades in this collection. As the tagline suggests, the lipstick has powder matte or we can say ultra-matte finish. I love matte lip color so much and I have fallen in love with the texture of these lipsticks by Maybelline. This range is the most loved range by me. Though initially, it has a slight sheen, later it settles down to a perfect matte finish. The lipstick is decently pigmented and it is capable of hiding pigmented lips very well. It gives semi-opaque coverage in a single swipe. And the color is easily buildable. Just two-three swipes are good enough for perfect opaque and even finish.

The texture of the lipstick is amazingly soft and smooth. The lipstick is so buttery smooth, that it glides on the lips like a dream and does not cause any tugging or pulling of the lips, which is a common concern with matte lipsticks. Despite being so creamy smooth in texture, the lipstick bullet does not break or melt. Most of my Maybelline lipsticks had this issue, but I am glad about the fact that this lipstick does not break or detach from the base. The formula is great but it has the tendency of clinging to the dry patches on the lips. Therefore, prepping the lips well is mandatory before applying this lipstick. Otherwise, it will look horrible on un-prepped lips. The color does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.

The formula is feathery light and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. The lipstick is not very moisturizing, and so, I prefer using a lip balm beneath, every time I use this lipstick, otherwise my lips get dry at the end of the day. The formula is smudge proof and the color does not smudge even after a heavy meal either. The formula is not heavily transferring. There is a minimal transfer of color on the mugs and goblets.

The lasting power of the lipstick is nice. It lasts for 4-5 hours on my lips. The lipstick could survive heavy meals and fades away evenly without budging.
