I love wearing pink lipsticks because it is one of my favourite shades. And, I always prefer wearing hot pinks or fuschias, but this time, I wanted to try a soft pink shade. So, I picked up the shade “Technically Pink” from the Maybelline Color Sensational Powder Matte range. Read on to know more 🙂

My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Technically Pink Powder Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: Maybelline Color Sensational Get Red-Dy Powder Matte Lipstick comes in a deep maroon plum packaging with a silver base. The packaging looks a lot similar to the other lipsticks from the Color Sensational range. The lipstick comes wrapped in a plastic cover with “powder matte” written over it. But, I hate the fact that the name isn’t printed on the case as the name gets thrown away with the plastic wrapper, the moment I open it. The shade name is printed on the base, so it is a bit inconvenient to see it every time. The lipstick would have been so much better if it was color-coded, but it has the shade name at the base, so that settles it. The packaging is handy and good-looking too. The bullet works well with a twist-up mechanism, so there are no flaws with the packaging.
Shade: “Technically pink” is a subtle yet bright candy pink color. However, it is more on the softer side. It instantly adds a nice pop of color to the lips which looks super cute. This shade can surely be your everyday pink as it looks very subtle and sweet. If you are bored of wearing your regular n*de lipstick everyday, then this is the one to try out. It might not suit women with dusky/deeper skin tones as it will wash them out, but will look great on lighter skin tones.
Texture, consistency and finish: The lipstick glides very smoothly onto my lips without any effort. It provides a non-drying matte finish to the lips, which I love. The lipstick doesn’t cling onto the dry flakes on my lips and doesn’t settle into the fine lines too. I love the super matte finish of this lipstick.
Staying power: The lipstick stays for around 4-5 hours on my lips. It survives full meals with a slight fading. However, it does not fade away completely; it leaves a bright stain, which can be easily removed with a makeup remover. So, if you love matte lipsticks, pick this one up.

- Will not suit dusky/deeper skin tones.
- I have used similar lipsticks from Maybelline before.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase Maybelline Color Sensational Technically Pink Powder Matte Lipstick?
Yes. Although Maybelline has some similar lipsticks in their different ranges, I absolutely loved this one. It is a perfect matte lipstick for women who want a non-drying formula. It feels super light and comfortable on the lips.
Conclusion: I would love to try the other shades from this range 🙂
