Maybelline India always surprises us with their non-stop new launches and this time they have launched this new Vivid Matte lipstick range. They already have a Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick range and in India they launched this Vivid Matte Lipstick range with four shades. Today’s review is about the shade ‘Rosy Orange’ and I love this shade like crazy. Let’s jump into the details.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid 4 Rosy Orange Vivid Matte Lipstick:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a lovely black plastic packaging with a red cap. But the details are printed on the plastic wrapper which is gone forever once I open it. Maybelline finally changed their usual silver container into this matte black container and it completely matches the matte theme. There is a color coded sticker on the back of the tube with the name printed on it. It helps to identify the shade easily. I like this pretty packaging and it is pretty lightweight as well. I find it absolutely travel friendly.

Shade & Pigmentation: This vivid matte range has only four shades such as neon pink, rosy orange, scarlet red, violet pink. There is no variety of shades that much. I have the shade ’Rosy orange’; like its name it’s a perfect rosy orange shade with a warm undertone. This is a beautiful bright orange shade with a hint of coral or rose and it looks absolutely gorgeous on my medium skin tone. It goes with almost all skin tones. There is no shimmer in this shade. Pigmentation is also great; it needs two swipes for good color pay off. It is a pretty wearable orange for Indian skin tone.

Texture & quality: Usually Maybelline never disappoints me and this time again I like this texture. It has a soft smooth texture which glides so easily on lips and it gives a soft smooth lips. It evenly blends on lips. It has a creamy matte texture and not exactly a “real” matte lip color. I always expect a perfect matte texture from a matte lipstick but this one is a creamy matte. It never dries out my lips and keeps them hydrated nicely. After a meal or after 5-6hrs the texture turns super matte and then my lips feel little dry. I need to apply a lip balm to solve this problem. But this is a common problem with all matte lipsticks. For its creamy matte texture it does transfer a lot until it turns to a super matte orange stain. Lot of color goes off with one cup of coffee but as it is a bold pigmented shade so my lips still look really nice; it doesn’t settle on fine lines.

Staying power: It stays nicely on my lips around 6hrs with a meal; it can survive a meal. As it is not transfer proof so after meal it fades. But it leaves a beautiful coral orange stain on my lips and the stain lasts really long. Even after 6hrs my lips never looks bad; it only looks dry.
As an orange lover, I can take 100 selfies with this shade. It is that kind of pretty shade. But it is a perfect matte lipstick. It is more like a creamy matte lipstick with a non-glossy texture. Overall I am definitely happy with it and it stays nice so I can easily wear it at parties.

I only like this shade in the whole range so I am happy with this. But you should definitely try this range and this is the most gorgeous shade in this range.
