My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid 8 Vivid Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: The lipsticks come in a deep coral tomato red packaging with a silver base. This packaging looks a lot similar to their other lipsticks from the color sensational ranges. It has a plastic wrapped with “vivid matte” written over it. But I hate the fact that the name isn’t printed over, the name gets thrown away with the plastic the moment I open it. The name is printed over the base, but that’s a bit inconvenient to see every time. The lipsticks would have been so much better, if they were colour-coded, but they have the shade colour at the base, so that’s settles it. The packaging is handy and good-looking too. The bullet twists up very nicely so no flaws with the packaging.
Shade: “Vivid 8” is a deep frozen berry colour. It has a lot of hot pink hints but it is not that typical super bright hot pink. It is a bit cool and cools down to a beautiful magenta shade, with hot pink hints. It is a great pink to suit all the skin-tones very well. It is a unique shade to try, if you are bored of pinks and reds. It looks very pretty on the lips and it is a great shade for day-wear and evening wear as well. It makes your lips pop in just a few seconds.
Texture, consistency and finish: The lipstick glides very smoothly onto my lips, without a lot of efforts. Although it is has a classy super matte finish, it is creamy initially which gives a flawless finish. After an hour, it feels a bit dry but that is the case with all matte lipsticks, so no issues there. The shade gets applied perfectly without clinging to chapped portions or my lips or settling in fine lines, so the clinging to dry patches may happen with lighter and neon shades from the range. I love the fact that is it completely matte and doesn’t have that shine over it.
Staying power: The lipstick stays for 5-6 hours with full meals, with the colour fading little by little. And with a few snacks, the staying power is extended by one hour. It does not fade away completely at any point, as it leaves a bright stain which easily comes off with a make-up remover.
So a good range to try out if you love matte lipsticks!

Yes, it is a nice berry magenta shade to try out, that will look very different from the regular lipstick shades. There are many more shades to choose from, they have really nice berry pink colours, so try them too.
Conclusion: They do not have any neutral shades, so I wish they add them too
