Today’s review will be on a new launch by Maybelline. It is their take on the crayon lipsticks. Although I do feel that Maybelline is a bit too late to join the “crayon lipstick bandwagon,” but keeping that aside, let’s see how they worked for me. My Experience with Maybelline Color Show Intense Crayon Passionate Plum:

These lipsticks come in a chubby crayon form. They are colour coded so that you can easily identify them in your stash. This crayon comes in a twist-up form, so you don’t have to worry about sharpening and product wastage that happens due to sharpening. The cap fits snugly and wouldn’t come off easily. The product is very convenient to use and can be tossed in your handbag without any worry.

“Passionate Plum” is a beautiful deep pink colour. It isn’t flat deep pink though – it is a super rich and royal shade. It gives your lips a well-defined, fuller look as if you have applied gloss or something. The pigmentation is crazy on these crayons. These are some really intensely pigmented lipsticks! One swipe and you are done, it’s that kind of crazy pigmented!

This shade is perfect for the festive season. In fact, it is so apt along with Indian traditional wear and will go perfectly well with Indian attire. This shade will suit all skin tones and would look great on all complexions too.

The texture is amazing. This lipstick feels super light on the lips and the formula is non-drying kind. It takes time to settle into a completely matte finish. Initially, it looks like a creamy lipstick, but through the day, you won’t need a lip balm at all! I’m impressed!

The staying power is killer again! It lasts pretty much all day long. It doesn’t budge on me; neither does it fade away for 5-6 hours straight! It does have a strong fruity scent which annoys me sometimes. It stays for 5-10 minutes after which it fades away.
