My Experience with Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick – Lust for Blush:

As you all must have noticed, my liking for bright and bold shades has taken a backseat nowadays. I am leaning more towards neutral MLBB shades which are very easy to pull off any day. Maybelline Color Whisper Lust for Blush is one of those kinds only. It’s a mute mauvy pink, with lots of luster.

It has a lot of sheen and gives a very refreshing shine to the lips. Lust for blush glides on the lips very smoothly and the color can be built up easily.  A single swipe is little less, so you need to swipe it 2-3 times for full pigmentation. Even after multiple swipes, it does not feel heavy on the lips. It has that feather-like feeling on the lips like a lip balm. Formula is very moisturizing; I can feel the softness on my lips even after hours of application. This is not very long lasting; it stays for around 2-3 hours, but I don’t mind re applying to get full on color on my lips again. Lust for blush is very buttery and smooth; still there is no chance of lip color all smudging around your mouth. This stays put after a while of application. It does not settle in fine lines, but as it is a light shade, you need to prepare your lips.

It would surely accentuate dry and chapped lips. I don’t like lip colors that leave a ring around the lips after some time of application. Thankfully, this does not fall into that category. Sometimes, I wonder if it’s just me who faces this problem or there are others also.

Lust for Blush comes in a pretty jewel color pink transparent cover. I found it quite interesting and different from other Maybelline lipsticks. The bullet shape is convenient for a perfect application, no need to use a lip brush.  It’s sturdy and travel friendly too.

Overall, I liked the shade “Lust for Blush” and would be surely picking a few more shades, this time the ones leaning towards oranges and corals.

• Might not suit pigmented lips.
