My experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Bold Matte lipstick:

I just couldn’t resist myself getting an another shade from Maybelline Bold Matte range after getting shades Mat1 and Mat2. I am in love with reds these days, especially since the time I have tried Lakme Absolute Pop Tint in shade Plum Rush. I am so glad I got Mat4 because I consider it to be an absolute beauty in my vanity. Mat4 is a very unique and pretty color because it is a mixture of coral and red. It has more red and just a tint of coral. I have no color like this in my lipstick collection. It doesn’t have any shimmer. This color will look absolutely gorgeous on fair to medium skin tones. It is a perfect color for someone who’s starting with reds because it isn’t as neon and bold as Mat1. This color lifts up my dull face immediately.

Well, I love the plastic case of these Bold Matte lipsticks. It is almost same as that of Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks but I still I find these to be more graceful and beautiful. The shade name is written at the bottom. The top of the lipstick has a plastic mirror. This lipstick is quite soft, so is very prone to melting. I prefer to keep it in a refrigerator, especially because of the summers. This one is less fragile than the Mat2 one, I don’t know why :-P. I have already broken the tip of my Mat2 lipstick but this one is still intact. *touchwood*

The pigmentation of Mat4 is less than Mat1. The first swipe gives just a flush of red to my lips and gives a sheer coverage, that’s why I said it’s perfect for those who are starting with reds. It takes three swipes to cover the pigmentation of my lips completely. The intensity of the color can be build upto as much you like. This lipstick glides on very softly and smoothly on lips, almost like butter. Though it claims to be matte, the finish is semi-matte with glossy sheen. This color is more matte than the other shades I have. Though it isn’t drying, I prefer to apply a balm beneath it because it isn’t moisturising as well. It doesn’t settle into lines. This lipstick feels extremely light on the lips and stays on for more than 5 hours. Red tint stays on my lips even after meals. My lips feel extremely comfortable in this lipstick.
