Today I’d be happy to share with you my experience and thoughts on Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Mocha-Mazing. =)

Reds, pinks, peaches and corals lip colors gives nice a pop of color on one’s face. But, I bet it is true for a lot of woman, that their lip color collection would not be complete without a nude shade. While it has the least color among the lip color shades available, it is among the most versatile color that gives face a simple yet elegant glow.

Not all nude lip colors can flatter all skin tones. Having an NC30 skin tone, I find it challenging to find a nice nude lipstick that won’t wash me out. Others are too light making me looked so pale and some are too matte making me looked dull or even lifeless. I thought a nude gloss could give a nice nude lips so I resorted into using a nude lip gloss this time which is the Maybelline Colorsensational Gloss in Mocha-Mazing.

For best results:

Use the wand to apply lip gloss starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

My experience with Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Mocha-Mazing:

Maybelline Colorsensational Gloss in Mocha-Mazing is packaged in rectangular plastic, transparent tube. The gloss with its shimmers inside can be beautifully seen from the outside. It has silver cap with doe-foot applicator attached to it. I like that it is a bit heavy compared to other lip glosses I have. It is very minimalist which I truly like and it is sturdy too.

Mocha-Mazing is a medium brown tinted gloss with silver micro-shimmers in it. Though it has shimmers, it is not over the top and that you won’t notice it when you are few feet away from who wears it.

It is semi opaque. It covers lips decently with medium brown hue that can be a nice MLBB color option for some. Since it is semi-opaque, the redness of lips peeks through so it would appear reddish brown on lips. I do have uneven lip tone. My upper lip is darker than my lower lip but this lip gloss managed to make it decently evened out. It has high shine to it making my lips look plumper and smoother too. This is very ideal to wear for night makeup/ look.

It is lightweight on lips for a lip gloss. Of course, balms and lipsticks are more lightweight. It is not sticky too. The color and shine stays on my lips for 4 hours. It fades completely after a meal.

What I like about Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Mocha-Mazing:

-Nice packaging.
-Fruity scent.
-Beautiful medium brown, mocha nude color.
-High shine and micro shimmers.
-Stays on 4 hours. I find it fair for a lip gloss.
-It does not dry my lips.
-It is affordable. I saw it is $7.49 on Maybelline. Converting to peso it is round Php 300 and I bought mine online around that price. So that’s around Rs. 391.

What I dont like about Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Mocha-Mazing:

-It is not available on Maybelline counters where I live.
-Lip glosses have shorter shelf life.

Final thoughts:

Again, not all nude lip color may flatter one’s skin tone so it is best to find what suits yours nicely. And once you found the one, it could give that elegance and beauty on one’s simple look.

I’ll surely try other shades of Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lip Gloss.
